The concert that would change Zappa forever. The last minute of this performance, not a note was played, but it would lay the groundwork for a new direction in his music. A male fan somehow thought Frank was trying to seduce his girlfriend so the fan pulled Frank from the stage and pulled him into the orchestra pit. The concert would be his last for over a year. The concert itself is good, but not groundbreaking. As a historical record it is a must.

Triple LP que recoge el concierto en el Rainbow Theater, que terminó cuando un tipo del público empujó a Zappa al foso causándole varias fracturas, traumatismo craneal y lesiones en la espalda, pierna y cuello, además de un golpe en la laringe que le hizo perder un intervalo musical de una tercera mayor, es decir, dos tonos enteros ascendentes, adicionales, después de su recuperación.Este mismo concierto aparece recogido en el box set de 8 CDs “The Mothers 1971” que puede comprar en Amazon.es (ASIN B09Q3NP1LH). Encontrará el concierto al final del séptimo CD y el octavo completo.

Se vogliamo parlare di genio, eccone un altro.Alla fine del disco si sente la caduta di Frank, spinto da un fan giù dal palco.Che non abbia apprezzato la cover del brano dei Beatles?

Wie den Liner Notes zu entnehmen ist, wurde das 1" 8 Spur Analogband auf 96/24 digitalisiertund daraus dann die LP gemastert. Da würde mir auch ein 96/24 flac zum Download reichen, denn bei der Übertragung auf LP und zurück in meine Phono Pre, der das Analogsignal mit 192/24 sampled kommt sicher keine neue Information hinzu. So gesehen ist die LP Unfug.Inhaltlich ist's am Anfang eher was für Hardcore Zappaner, da der 1. Track die weniger gefestigten Hörer vermutlich zum Ausschalten bringt.Die 1971 Band mit Flo + Eddie mit den Musikern nicht vertrauten Instrumenten zu hören - wir erinnern uns: smoke on the water, dabei brannte nicht nur da Hotel, sondern auch das Equipment der Mothers ab - beweit die Ausnahmeklasse dieser Band.Wie gesagt, eine flac Datei hätte es auch getan, aber das liebevolle Cover mit ausführlichem Text zur Geschichte dieses Albums, versöhnt dann wieder. Lobenswerterweise sind die Platten schwarz und rund und haben das Loch in der Mitte. Heute ist das leider nicht mehr selbstverständlich.

Je croyais bien connaître Zappa depuis plus de 50 ans...et bien non!Pourquoi ce disque ne sort que maintenant!Peut importe si ce concert datait de 2023 on crierait au génie!Rien que l'intro " Zanti Serenade" est explosive suivi de Peaches in regalia a l'opposé total.....et tout est comme ça....Dans le monde du "rock"tout à vieilli, bcp vieilli, sauf le blues (dt Hendrix) et Magma...si...si...meme les Beatles ont vieilli!Mais Zappa n'a pas pris une ride. Le fait qu'il connaisse le solfège et la composition n'y st pas étrangers....il a qd même coopéré avec Boulez!L'enregistrement est parfait et les frères Wolman au diapason.Vraiment une Big surprise! Je n'avais rien entendu de tel depuis le coffret Läther malheureusement jamais paru en vinyle
