Perfect for dogs!
We have lots of thunderstorms and occasional days where it’s just too hot to go on walks until the sun is setting so I needed something so my guy could have potty breaks when we can’t go on walks. Until now I was ordering real grass patches (Fresh Patch), but the cost was adding up at $40.00 every two weeks to every month depending how often we had to use the grass patch. (Nevemind that every other Fresh Patch order was having to be replaced because it arrived spoiled due to being shipped in the summer heat.) so I needed another solution. After some research I found this fake grass. I was able to cut it to the size of the plastic tray I had been using for my real grass patches fairly easily. My only mistake was cutting it on my front room rug, not thinking it would make a gigantic mess. Haha. So learn from my mistake and cut yours outside. I clogged my vacuum trying to get all the grass bits off my rug. But now that we have my guy’s new fake grass all set up I am so happy we ordered this. I put puppy pads in the bottom of the plastic tray and put the fake grass on top of them. There are drainage holes in the grass mat and the pee drains down to the pads. I replace the pads everyday to every other day, and plan to rinse off the tray and the fake grass about once a week. It’s perfect! And my dog LOVES it even more than the real grass we had. It’s soft and doesn’t hurt his little feet. He likes it so much he wants to lay on it. So I have another small patch (leftover) on the other side of the balcony for sunbathing. He’s super happy!

Grass looked great when I pulled it out of the box. Had set up an area with crushed concrete, sand, rocks, etc. and it was perfect for my puppy to take her potty breaks. Unfortunately, this product is complete garbage. It frayed and how lose strands all over...my puppy chewed on the loose strands and today she ended up in the emergency vet to have surgery to remove from her intestines. Thanks to this poorly bad product, I’ve got a $8500 vet bill. Shame on you for making a product you advertise As safe for dogs but clearly isnt. For any dog owners who truly love their pets, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT WILL HURT YOUR LOVED ANIMALS.

Great find! Used this to make our own patio potty spot for puppy. Here's how...
I looked for hours to find good outdoor potty fake grass with a way to contain the urine so it didn't drain out of the bottom. We needed a temporary solution for a puppy that was in a building without grass very near by so I read a ton of reviews & decided most/all of what is being sold for our situation didn't get good reviews or wasn't big enough. So I found one review that detailed what she did & I tried it & it worked SO WELL! 1. Buy this grass. 2. Buy a large (I bought 30x48") plastic crate liner. 3. Buy XL puppy pads (potty training pads) 4. Cut this grass to fit the crate liner. 5. Put 2-3 potty pads in the crate liner. 6. Put this grass on top of potty pads (grass has holes for draining). // At the end of the day throw out the potty pads, spray with a non-toxic cleaner (like Better Life All-Purpose spray) & rinse off this fake grass & air dry in the sun. Repeat next day. If the pup poops on the grass you can clean off with paper towels, cleaner, rinse off, air dry. Perfect solution for what we needed & it will last for quite awhile!

One of my dogs is a digger and frequently trails in large clumps of dirt and mud into the house. I bought the artificial grass rug and set it outside right in front of our backdoor hoping it would door a better job of removing the dirt and mud from his feet than our doormat had been doing. The grass rug doesn't get all of the mud, but there has been a substantial decrease in the amount of mud and dirt he tracks in since I set the grass rug outside.Since the bottom of the mat has drainage holes, the grass rug is washed every time it rains. This is good because all of my dogs enjoy sleeping on it. So, in case anyone was wondering, the blades of grass on the artificial grass rug are stiff enough to help wipe mud off of a dog's paws, but also soft enough that they are comfortable napping on it.Only downside I've encountered is that it looks better than my actual grass.

Works and has lasted
Originally bought this for a high rise balcony in case I couldn’t get my dog out in time. He never went to the bathroom on it and instead loved to just lay and sunbathe which was fine with me! Now he is older and a little more incontinent. He started having issues holding it in the elevator on the way outside so I put his harness on with his leash and would take him on this grass pad and once he peed on it, he figured it out and goes potty here all the time. Learning how to keep it clean has been interesting. He went pee on this about 6 times until I opened the door one day and the smell about knocked me over. So disgusting. SO what I’ve found is there needs to be some very proper drainage. I bought reusable fabric puppy pads and those go under the matt. Then, on top of that are the throw away puppy pads. If I change these out often enough and the sun isnt directly on it, it can go a few weeks before needing to be cleaned. I have to take it to the tub and soak it in soap and vinegar, rinse it off and it’s good to go again. Has been a lifesaver for me and my dog (after he started uncontrollably peeing everywhere!) Just make sure you have something to catch the urine underneath if there isn’t already proper drainage like rocks and dirt. His is on concrete patio.
