Little Angels Bible Storybook (Roma Downey's Little Angels Series)

I picked up 3 Little Angels DVDs from Dollar Tree, and my kids love them. They love the book as it has more Bible story's than was on the DVDs and I like how there are memory verses, prayers and a summary of that was learned. Great if you have kids under 10!

I was so impressed with this book and my daughter loves it!

I like the basic Bible stories for our almost three year old. The questions are usually pretty good and the prayers and verses that go along with the story are usually great. I find the "Little Angles" disturbing, as they are fictional. I don't believe that they should be added into a Bible Storybook, no matter how cute they may be. There is no purpose to teach young children about things that are not in the Bible. This could confuse them, at a young age. Why not leave the Bible stories alone? I'm not sure what the purpose of naming them and giving them a "job" is either. There are enough amazing stories and lessons in the Bible without having to make things up. Other than that, the stories are accurate - as a Bible storybook goes. I just don't think that things should be added into the Bible for "cuteness".

A little odd to have Roma's face on front cover, and it also has an application half way through each story that if you read it there it doesn't make sense as you could be half way through a story, if you skip it and read story to end then you have to go back a page to read the application, there is more application at the end as well so is odd they place it half way through. They have done a very good job at breaking the bible down into a series of short stories relevant for kids, both my kids love reading a new story each night, especially my 4 year old. I love the application at the end, a prayer and a bible verse.

My 5yo loves Little Angels videos, and having a Little Angels Bible Storybook was the perfect pairing for her preferences. She was delighted and has started to get excited about the stories all the more!

We love this book! My 7yr old daughter looks forward to reading it every night and we've already gone through the entire book.

Read this with my son nearly every night. After several weeks we read it from beginning to end so nowadays I allow him to chose his favorite story to read before bed. Although a bit Euro-centric for my taste, I do find that the design and content are very well put together for my pre-schooler.
