The battery is doing a great job of keeping up, but it was not easy to get installed. I could take the back off the tablet ok, but not with the tools included. The plastic wedge simply crumbled and the little screw drivers were not small enough to loosen the screws on the old battery. Had I not had access to other, smaller and stronger tools, I would have not been able to get the battery replaced.

In all ways has worked but 2 cautions. 1 its ALMOST too big. Had to really work to get it in place with screws. 2 sometimes its not reporting charging, not sure if that is a battery compatibility problem or just charge circuit issue. It DOES charge.

I was worried at first that I wouldn't be able to get the case of my Samsung Tab-2 7 inch open without breaking something. The Youtube videos made it look lot easier. After 7 years, it was on there really good but I finally got it apart. Tools designed to open tablets and phones are highly recommended.As other reviewers mentioned, all 6 screw holes didn't line up exactly with the ones inside the tablet so I had to carefully drill them out with a 1/16" drill bit. That being done, the battery was installed. I don't have a way to measure capacity, battery life, etc. but this replacement cell doesn't seem to have the same life as the original when it was new. Also, for what it's worth, the original battery weighed 2.7 ounces and this replacement 2.5. That may not translate to battery capacity, but it is a difference of about 8%. In the end, it was a cheap fix rather than having to trash my little Samsung.

The plastic tools are not strong enough to pry open the Samsung tablet. The main tool broke and had to use something metal to pry the tablet open. The battery holds a better charge than when the tablet was new.

Hard to get the tablet open - old plastic is brittle. Had to use other tools. Unit now works but shuts down unexpectedly at about 30% battery.

Installation tools we're not so useful needed. A very small strong screwdriver, or something similar will be needed to split the back off the case. However, the small screwdrivers supplied, being magnetic were extremely useful. Installed 4 months ago and still working strong, not as good as the factory battery but for $10 you can't beat It.
