Heavy on the science, basic on the exercises
I saw this book advertised in the UltraFit magazine I get, in which Sandry writes some articles and as her pieces are usually rather enjoyable I thought I would give it a go. I found it was hard to tell who the book was aimed at as it is heavy on the science aspect of losing weight such as chemical reactions etc which would you think a fitness enthusiast would appreciate, but not all that heavy on the actual exercises which seemed to be mostly mat based and perhaps something that would probably appeal to someone who isnt and doesnt want to be a member of a gym and wants to undertake something light at home. I would have preferred more ideas for exercise plans to follow rather than being shown some exercises and then being left to string them all together. Although this is where an actual personal trainer would take over! I also didnt expect it to be so quick a read. I think it needs less science bumf and a balance of gym based plans and things to do at home to cover more clients requirements
