This product works well
Easy to use. Well designed. The product is light with a comfortable handle grip. Heats up quickly. Designed well to allow the gun to stand by itself during cool down. Good purchase

Nice features. Well made.
This heat gun has worked nicely for my needs. I like the fact that I can adjust the temperature setting as needed. That in itself is so much better than a high/medium/low setting dial. I tried to loosen something and started at a low temperature and actually had to raise the setting by about 200 degrees to accomplish what I wanted. Quality tool.

Who knew I needed a fancy heat gun?!?
I've been comparing heat guns for a while now. I had two, one that had seen way better days, and a newer, nicer one. Both were the typical hi/lo heat switch, because that's all you need, right? Well I was using the good one because why would I use the crappy one, and after I got done with it I set it on top of my tool chest to cool off, and as I turned around to walk away, I heard it crashed to the ground. My tool chest is about 5 and 1/2 ft tall so it was a considerable distance, and when I picked it up, there was some stuff rattling around inside of it. It still worked, but I was concerned with whatever was rattling around would eventually come in contact with the heating element and start a fire while I was using it, so in the garbage it went. So I've been relegated to using the old one that even smells funny when you use it, for some time now. So I started my quest for a new heat gun, and I, of course, wanted a good one because a heat gun generally lasts quite a while and it's not something that you're replacing all the time, especially if you get a quality one. I had seen this Wagner at a local store and my first thought was that it was very expensive and why would you need an LCD screen on a heat gun? I thought it was a little extravagant and started researching cheaper models, but I kept coming back to this Wagner Ferno 700. I just couldn't convince myself at the time to pull the trigger on it because of the price and was about to buy a different brand that was the number one rated basic heat gun by Project Farmer on YouTube. I actually waited then to see if the price on that one would drop for the recent prime days and it did not, but the Ferno 700 popped up as a suggestion at an adequate savings, at least for me, so I ordered it. After it arrived I'd began checking it out and going through the owner's manual and I suddenly realized just why it's good to have an LCD screen and then the different controls for temperature and fan speed, not to mention the awesome cool down feature when you're done using it. I was super impressed at the control you have with the heat. As you increase or lower it there is a number read out for the temperature and also a little bar graph that shows when it's reached the temperature you have set it at. The fan speeds are so much better than just a simple high/lo like all the heat guns that have used my entire life have been. I never realized a heat gun could be so versatile. In the past even if I'm using the low setting and it's too hot for what I'm doing you just have to hold it further away and that's guessing. With this, you set it at the temperature you need, adjust your fan speed to where you need that as well, and if it's a little too warm or a little too cool, just adjust it to where you need it. If you had it too hot and you lower the temperature some you can see exactly on the screen when it's cooled down to that temperature by the blinking end of the bar graph as when it reduces and holds solid it's at the new temperature then, no guesswork here. No guesswork with the cool down feature, either. Turn it off and it automatically goes into a three minute cycle with the fan on high to run cool room air through it. And it works! The only thing I wish is that Wagner would have included some sort of carry case much like the one they sell for about $15 but always seem to be out of, because at the price point of the Furno 700, it would just be nice to have that included. That's just my opinion, and all in all I am super impressed with this heat gun and I'm looking forward to times I need to use it. If you're on the fence, Black Friday is coming up and I suspect it'll have a great price then, too and if you've been thinking about it, snag yourself one up, you won't regret it.

Good quality for price
Very happy with the Furno 700. Good build quality, good manual, and a 5 year warranty. I ordered the optional curved deflector to help apply even hear to wire jackets and flexible pipe. The display makes it easy to pick a temperature and know when the gun has reached that temp. I don’t use a heat gun everyday, so I didn’t want to spend $200 on the heavy duty name brands. But it’s also something I want to last for years and use for a wide range of jobs from electronics to shrink wrap to paint stripping. The 700 is in that sweet spot. Much better than the cheapest $25 option. My only complaint is that the tool doesn’t fit neatly back into the box once it’s assembled. Wagner should make a carry case easier to find.

good so far
Have tested it on some paint removal and large heat shrink tubing. Worked well but took awhile to get the large tubing to shrink down. I set the temp at the recommended setting but took longer than I expected to shrink the tube down. Don't know if that was an issue of the heat output or need to use a higher temperature setting for the tubing size. Need some more runtime to figure out. But overall, a good tool vs the hair dryer I was using previously.

Easy to Use but Low Wind Velocity
I use this gun for my resin art. The hot air helps get the bubbles out and the adjustable heat is helpful. I also use it for my Dutch pours but the wind force of the fan isn’t as strong as I’d like. A regular blow dryer does a much better job if you need high fan wind.

Great Deal for the Money...
Great heat gun with controllable temperature control. Very easy to use and even has a cool down mode which I found very handy...

Reliability and Quickstart
I debated between a cordless and wired heat gun. While cordless offers portability, it’s pricier. Though I frequently use cordless power tools, I rarely need a heat gun. Spending $300-$400 on the tool, battery, and charger felt excessive for occasional heat shrinking and waterproofing. So, I chose this heat gun. It starts up quickly, heats up fast, and was efficient for heat shrinking and waterproofing my wires. Priced reasonably, it’s great for occasional use but can also handle professional tasks. I highly recommend it.

Meet expectation. 5 fans speed is useful for electronic reflow work. Temperature setting is easy to do, is stable and covers every uses I need . My only complaint is that there is no 35mm to 22mm reductor accessory to fit 2mm nozzles from third party.

Work very well for my intended use, which is glue arrow insert into shaft. Never give a 5.
