I was 'extra' surprised to see a mouth on the 'old lady' that is open so you can either slip the animals into her OR place each one on the outside on her tummy. I attached felt/flannel to a hardback board I got at a dollar store and the 'old lady' stuck right on with the animals surrounding her, making it easy for the younger child to find the animal while I read from the story book I also purchased. It's SO GREAT they still make this story available and haven't changed it from the original one. Brings back good memories from mine and my children childhood and now to share it with the grandchildren!

I have been purchasing Little Folks flannel sets for over 20 years and the quality has not changed! The only difference I found is that now the pieces are all pre cut!! Flannel board activities are great developmental and FUN for babies who are learning to grab and hold through toddlers/young children enjoying stories and sing a longs! I am a huge fan!

The felt pieces are just like they are advertised. Well made, the pictures are great. The old lady's mouth opens so all the animals fit in, my daycare kids enjoy the story very much.

Wow . Is how I discribe this item . I wish for each book I could have items . It’s very visual for my kids . It a great tool to teach sequencing . The children touches and places things in the old lady mouth . It’s a great addition tool to reading the book .

These figures are big, which is nice. All the animals fit in her belly.
