For some Qi-compatible devices, you may need to buy a Qi-compatible receiver separately to activate the wireless charging function.KINDLY NOTE: Please put the pressure on the back of the clamps versus the front better to get the clamping mechanism to close tightly enough on the phone. This charger won't charge through an otter box, for optimal performance, take off your protective cover and place your device in the proper location on the wireless charger. NOT FOR FORD SUPERDUTY trucks
I received this product and the packaging was very satisfactory. Seller shipped qiuckly. The actual material of the product seems to be sturdy however, the "arms" that hold your phone in the cradle show some flexibility when you clamp them down on the phone (Iphone 8 Plus in my case)--this worries me a bit as it seems the gears that allow the arms to go in and out can be easliy broken due to this flexibility/bend--if/wehn they break, this product will be rendered useless. The product is advertised as "fast" however, I have found this only to be true if the phone is not being used at all (no GPS Apps/Music/Mail, screen is off, etc). When using Waze and Pandora, the charger doesn't seem to keep up and I can see the battery being slowly exhausted--not really what I thought I was getting or was looking to buy. When using the Waze app and the phone is on the charger, it seems to interfere with the actual positioning signal used by Waze--often times I find the app showing that I'm driving on a parallel road and it tries to re-route me. When I take the phone off the cradle, I don't have that issue. Further, the charger causes the phone to get super hot when on the cradle--not sure if this affects the longevity of the physical battery or other components within the phone.Lastly--I bought this for my 2010 F350 because my vents weren't listed as "not compatible" thus I thought it would fit the vents. Absolutely not the case by a longshot. This chrager is not low profile either, which would have prevented the use on a vent anyhow--the cradle/phone would be in the way of the shifter on the steering column. I am forced to stick it on my windshield, since the dash doesn't afford any usuable/suitable surface to mount this--again, wasn't looking for a windshield mounted one.BIggest concerns are the GPS interference, the inability to keep my phone charged when I'm using a GPS/Music App, and the flimsyness of the "Arms".I didn't give the product a lower rating because it works, albeit conditionally. The 2 star rating is listed as "I don't like it"

Bargain for the price, especially if you don't need the mount to stick!
I purchased this item for under $20, so I am trying to have realistic expectations. The spring loaded clamp feature is nice, the wireless charging seems to work well, the included adapters and accessories are nice (including a 12V car charger & cable, which are impressive for a $20 kit...)At first glance, even the suction cup is impressive. Not only is it full size, with a locking suction mechanism, but it even features a sort of perpetual adhesive on the cup to aid in attachment.UNFORTUNATELY, this adhesive seems to be the sole means by which the charger was intended to mount.I have it stuck to a suction cup base mount, which is affixed to my office wall with commercial 3M double-sided tape. The mount has remained stuck to the wall for over two months at this point, but as soon as I put my iPhone X into the mount, the clock begins ticking on the charger's suction cup breaking loose. Thanks to the adhesive on the suction cup, once the bond fails, it DOES result in a rather anticlimactic, slow but accelerating fall of the mount after about 45 minutes.I repeat, this mount will hold an iPhone X for about 45 minutes, tops, when mounted at a 90 degree angle on a suction cup mount.I will update this review should the mount begin to improve, or I am issued a replacement. But at this point, it's looking more and more like I may simply have to hot glue this mount to the wall in order for it to function properly.

Works okay, for the most part
Charges fine, mounts fine, sides clamp fine. Two small gotchas:1. I dislike is that the bottom lip on which the phone sits is very narrow, and it can be tricky to make sure that your phone is fully sitting on it when you clamp in the sides. This can be harder to do if you have a larger phone or a thicker case, or a case that's slightly slippery on the bottom.2. The screw-in gimbal on the back (that attaches the holder to the base arm) is a bit loose, and you'll find that the whole thing droops (sags down) after a while, and you'll have to try and tighten the screw harder and get it to stay up facing you properly. This may be partially due to the fact that I have it reverse-mounted on my windshield - so it's oriented down, rather than up, as in the photo on the product page.
