EZ Grill 4831 1-Pack Portable Disposable Instant Barbeque, Party Size

It is rare I will write a product review, but this one had to be written.This product came into my world due to a few situations: I have limited room in my vehicle, and I go to Opening Day for the Milwaukee Brewers every year. Of course you have to tailgate before a game, so I thought we would give this guy a shot.I'll admit as I looked at those around us with tends, multiple tables, huge gas and charcoal grills - I was a bit intimidated to put what amounted to a small tinfoil pan on the ground and cook. Also, since I only had lighters I had to take the top off the grill to light it. I was waiting for disaster.I was amazed when the charcoal lit up immediately, got hot and ready to cook in maybe 5 to 10 minutes, and easily cooked up 20 parboiled sausages that we had brought with us. We even had to guys stop over and marvel at the little beauty we had cooking things up.A couple things to keep aware of, as I read in other reviews, is that the bottom of the pan gets very, very hot. We had it on the concrete parking lot at Miller Park so there was no concern with burning what it was on, but when I checked the heat as we were heading in for the game it was still very warm to the touch. Also, there is virtually no weight to this thing, so if it is a windy day it very well may take off flying somewhere.Also, as a size comparison. We were cooking about 7 brats at a time on this thing and may have been able to get a couple more on if needed.A definite 5/5 for us - we couldn't stop talking about how this little thing worked so well for us.

This little thing is great in a pinch. I used this for a birthday party that I had at the park. I used it to cook about 48 of those big costco hotdogs. I had my doubts but it did its job.Pros:Easy to get the fire startedCompactDisposableNo lighter fluid needed.Cons:Wind can be an issue, needs some sort of cover to shield the grill. I used a cardboard boxHeat can be a little uneven, make sure to shake the grill before opening to get it all spread out.Overall:I would recommend this product if you don't have time/space for a full sized grill of your own.

Works as advertised. Coals light easily, last for over an hour, and it is large enough to fit 6 burgers on it.Remember to follow instructions, shake the grill to break up the charcoal before lighting.When they ship the grill the stand is upside down, so it cradles the grill, remember to flip it over so the grill is a few inches off the ground, it does not mention this in the instructions.

The coals were somewhat not filled completely in the middle. It may have been that way to prevent overly large flames, then in that case they were fine.You have to spread the coals around well enough so that they don't touch your food. Worked well for what I was using them for which was to grill some burgers. Kind of a slow cooker though and needs some protection from winds or a light to moderate breeze.

If you're tailgating, or camping then you've found a disposable grill.It runs for about an hour and a half to two. The size is good enough to cook several things on it at a time.At the end of the party, you just need to water it down (safety), and throw it away.

Worked perfectly. I would have liked it to be a tad deeperbut it was for one day and one meal so it did exactly what it saidit would do. I don't think I would buy another after seeing acheap fold up charcoal grill for half the price. But this did the trick.

The idea is good and intuitive, and it works for a really small "party", maybe 2-3 people?The manufacturer should definitely put 50% more charcoal in and provide a much better grill experience.An additional trick is that you should definitely shake it to evenly distribute charcoals when it's on fire; otherwise, you will end up with less usage time and charcoal in the middle not used.

Love these - very convenient - we take them to the beach!
