Not brilliant not terrible.Tends to be a bit too floppy because of weight of phone. Comes off vents quite easily. Plus side is that it does not mark vents. So I guess a balance had to be struck.

Works really great i love it, it is very stable has not fallen of. The only problem i have have is with the nissan leaf the vent isn't big enough to sit snug, however it still works.

Needing a way to mount my erstwhile smart phone at an elevation sufficient to allow use of Google Maps while driving, this unit caught my attention for its simple design. As advertised, it clips onto the air vent, albeit with a bit more initial force than I was comfortable delivering. Nonetheless, it attached to the vane like a Pit Bull pup, and then for the real test - installing the phone.The thing grips onto the phone like a horny monkey. Regardless of what position you rotate your device into, it clamps down mightily, and won't let go. The swivel seems to retain a sufficient amount of friction to keep the phone from moving. The warm weather months may prove differently, but thus far it is very stable, unlike some of my ex wives.Unintended bonus: due to its proximity to the vent, my overtasked phone stays amazing cool during operation. I can run Google Maps, Waze, music and voice texting all at the same time, with the unit in the sun, and have no overheating issues. Viva la multitasking!

Bought this years ago for my wife and still works great. Fits perfectly in vents of my Nissan cars and it holds phone in place however I set it up. When I first bought it I thought the price was on the higher end of what I wanted to spend, but after trying two other cheap vent holders I ended buying a second Koomus holder. I highly recommend this product.
