bought this couple of months back. been using it since. it does not melt or fall when it gets hot due to sun either. didnt have a messy problem when i had to remove and reinstall as my car had to be serviced.

This brand is my favorite cellphone holder. I got a new car and it didn't have a cd player like my old car. So I either could get the vent holder or this one. I choose this one because I don't like blocking one whole vent. I tried to put it around my dash. It didn't work because the surface was not smooth. And then I have one little area where it was smooth but it was a little beveled. It seemed to work there until I left it in the sun. I did try it on the glass. It stuck beautifully. My only issue was it was not as long as I needed it to be. I ended up getting a difference holder that works with my popsocket. I really like this one. I just wanted it to stick to a surface that it didn't want to stick to. And I use both the extra large suction cup as well as the one that is attached to unit. I tried so hard to keep this style of phone holder. I will try and give it to my boyfriend or someone else. I would much rather have this version than the one I do have. I just needed something with a little bit longer of a neck.

Super easy to attach to dash and the connecting points are very sticky and durable. There’s also an option to mount to the windshield. The rotation angles are perfect because you can have your phone tilted horizontal, vertical or any angle in between.

Works as expected, sticks really well even in extreme heat. I had the previous model and this one moves smoother, the phone stays well positioned even when the ride is bumpy.

Killer product! After watching multiple videos on these products, and having had a number of cup holder, vent based, and CD slot type phone holders I settled on this dashboard mount. Installation was simple--pulling off the cover on the bottom adhesive pad, positioning it on the dashboard, push down and actuate the rear vacuum switch. (There is also another pad in the package if you have some odd shaped surface). After the first day, I decided to reposition it. With some minor pulling, the entire unit came loose, leaving a clean dashboard and the same adhesive surface ready for repositioning. Amazing?!Sitting on the dashboard, both portrait and landscape viewing is possible with an easily articulated head. The head moves in all directions (restricted only by the dashboard and the base itself). The movement of the head is tight enough to hold position during driving and general use, but not so tight as to make it difficult to move when necessary. Surprisingly, on an iPhone 6, I can position the bottom side edges of the phone in order to actually use the phone as a camera or take videos while driving--it is no mounted "Go-Pro" but it works for me.A couple of reviewers (notably ZacK Hill with videos) provided all the information I needed to make the right purchase, especially by showing the actual installation and then showing how stable a given installation might be. The extra gel pad is extremely sticky and after an hour on my dash left residue. I guess thats great if you never plan on removing it. I have an older magnetic mount i have been using for several years that i loved and have taken it off several times without leaving anything and its still very sticky. I removed the extra gel pad and the unit itself seems sticky enough. It is easy enough to get the phone in and out of the mount, and it seems to hold it just fine. My biggest issue is the holder is able to be moved up and down and all around... without being able to lock it in place the phone vibrates horrible the whole time i'm driving making it dizzying to even look at. I just take it off and put it in my lap or angle it all the way down (too far down to be usable) to eliminate some of the vibration. Again i have been using these types of mounts for years in the same vehicle and have never ever had this happen. If its up and down position could be locked i think it would be great.
