Get a grip!
See below for my initial review. However one year later, the 'silicone safety harness' is developing splits in all 4 elastic corners, so it is a matter of time before the elastics begin to snap one by one. Could be due to constant use (used year-around every other day or so) or it could be decay from UV exposure. Nevertheless, I think it's a replaceable part so will the manufacturer please contact me?Original review: Really works well. I have an iPhone SE, which is quite small, and this unit keeps a firm grip on it. The mount does not sag or tilt from the vibrations of cycling on urban streets with occasional broken pavement. Have used for several days on long rides in the country with some gravel sections and no regrets so far. Mounted to Jones bars. For rougher trails, I would tuck the phone in to a bag away from the bumps and dust anyway.

Great buy, very easy to use.
Really easy to put on my bike and take off when I park it outside. Cell phone feels secure on it even if I go over some heavy bumps and pot holes (that I try to avoid, but it's NYC). Inexpensive and works great. Might have some problems if it's really hot and the sun is shining on it (overheating), but I don't know any cell phone holder that wouldn't have problems in that scenario.

Not as secure as I thought
Works great although i makes me a little nervous that the 'clamp' that attaches to your handle bars does not actually clamp on. It's a friction fit - you pry the plastic apart to get in you your bars and that's it. It sits nicely and periodically requires me to rotate it to keep the phone at the right angle but if I were to crash this baby would fly off the bars. Similarly the grippers on the sides of the phone don't lock into position so they too could allow the phone to fall out. I am not worried about the phone falling while I'm riding but if I fall I suspect it would not be a good outcome for the phone.

Using with an iPhone 5S and iPhone 6
This fits well on my Cannondale road bike; easy to put on and take off. I've attached an iPhone 5S and an iPhone 6 to it, both of which have phone cases on them. The piece that attaches to the handlebars is rubber and doesn't scratch up the handlebars. This swivels so that you can use it vertically or horizontal. I'm only using this on an indoor bike trainer so I haven't tested it outside; the phone doesn't move while I ride the bike trainer. Overall it's well constructed and works well for indoor use; I can't comment on outdoor use.

Great device holder - I love it!
I tried 3 other holders, and none of them worked. This is set up so it should be able to fit almost any size phone - the expanding panels are only on the side, and you could have a very tall narrow device if you wanted :) It fits well with a case, as well. It was well reviewed on a bicycle site by mountain bikers, which is why I tried it.Like many other people, I put it in the case and shook it as hard as possible before I installed it. It didn't budge. I took it on a ride with no problem, and had great access to the screen, for mapping and workouts. It's very easy to remove if you want to take pictures or play Pokemon Go. I carry a cover for rain Quad Lock Poncho Slip-On Splash Proof Cover for iPhone 6/6S - Clear which I haven't yet tested. Also like others, I am not sure of the durability of the attachment bands or the pivot; if there are any problems, I will update my review.
