Q: Can you use it for cats?

The bottles I purchased recently no longer say "only for dogs, do not use for cats" - Sept 2021

Q: What is the shelf life on this? We have a 5 pound Chihuahua who has a tiny water bowl. How much would you put in for about a cup of water?

To be honest I don't know but I had a 8 lb Yorkie and he did not have a very large water bowl neither I just made up a gallon a day put it in the fridge when a gallon was up I'd continuous the process it never went bad for me and I gave him the same product for the last 13 years it'll hold up for your little dog I've had arguments with the vet on how old he was because I use this product as well as goody as well with both of those they'd be five six years off on his what they took for his age by looking at his teeth this is some good stuff I recommend it to everybody no matter how big or small the dog

Q: Can you use this as a refill for the product that you spray directly onto teeth?

My gut reaction to this question is no... In accordance with the directions, I add a very small amount (teaspoon or tablespoon, I'd have to look at the bottle to be sure) to a gallon of distilled water. A little goes a long way, and it has made a huge difference in both of my dogs' breath. I would guess that if this is sprayed into a dog's mouth, it would be toxic. As with anything else, before you use it off label, check with your veterinarian. I hope this helps!

I like it and my puppy is fine with it. I use it on days I dont brush her teeth. Works and convenient and not as messy as sprays.

Effective, Easy, and Quicker than expected!

I bought this foam about two weeks ago wishing to remove some minor tartar on a few of my dog’s teeth. I used one pump on each side of her mouth every day. She had no stomach issues (50lbs) and liked the taste! It was fast and easy and with consistent praise she got used to it quickly.Along with teeth brushing with Nylabone tooth paste and access to a (real) bone I saw results quickly! After about 1 week only one tooth still had tartar, the other teeth had only minor stains left, and her breathe was great.After 2 weeks, all teeth are practically tartar free and the stains on her other teeth are fading. I am planning to continue use daily until all staining and tartar remnants are gone and then switch to weekly (keeping brushing daily).If you’re conflicted, I’d say go for it! Definitely worked for me and helped avoid much stress for both me and my dog.
