Comedy at its best
One of the best movies of the 90s Jim carry is a legend before dumb and dumber ace Ventura had to be Jim's best work

Loo hooo zerrrr
An absolute classic! For as cheap as it is, the quality is close to original, nowhere close to HD, but for the nostalgia it did its job.

Worth it
For only $5 I got these two movies on dvd. They've no issues playing and seem to be fine quality for dvds. Well worth the price point to get these two hilarious movies, especially considering the blu rays are almost 5x the price.

"I Don't Even Like It Anymore... Really!"
I grew up on Ace Ventura, and Jim Carrey movies in general. When Nature Calls has always been a beloved flick to me & my family and I've always regarded it as my favorite of the two. This is a great release to update your collection if these are some of your favorite movies like they are for me. It's always a great revisit because you notice a new line, joke, or person. Noticing Cannibal Corpse all those years ago slaying, Hector Salamanca from Breaking Bad collecting rent, Monica before she met all her Friends, rediscovering Tone Loc even, make these movies such a good time. After watching both back-to-back on this Blu-ray release, I have to say I see the weaknesses of the sequel now. A lot of repeated jokes, most of them highly accentuated as if to be "bigger" than the original, or louder. This led me down the path of having never realized how picky his love for animals is in the sequel. In the first film, he's cool as Johnny Bravo but loves seemingly every animal. His apartment is littered with animals from fur to feather and never once does he show dislike for even the shark that attacks him midway through the movie. In the second film, he bounces around preferentially and it doesn't really take away from the movie. But I've seen it countless times and never really thought of it. He famously knocks out the "Monopoly guy" to carry him around like a fox wrap on a fancy lady at a party, then later on is seen fighting a crocodile and drowning it for swimming up to him. A pet detective that doesn't deal with bats but deals with other similar rodent-like animals just seemed weird, and really just to set up a lot of bat jokes throughout. All of these moments scream to me at lack of creative writing, which at this point is irrelevant because I still love these movies. The second still has some of the most quotable moments of the two, but the first is actually a pretty decent movie as it is.The first film basically appreciates with time, as it still stylistically could come out today I believe. It's a very off the line comedy that a lot of writers/creators are trying to mimic today. Look no further than this gem with an unforgettably classic performance from Jim Carrey. There is a director's commentary on the first film that actually holds up pretty well, and it was fun to hear about what parts of the movie & character were improvised by Carrey. There are also some additional episodes of the animated series included. There are no special features for When Nature Calls which was kind of disappointing. Both movies are included on separate Blu-ray discs, and there are no DVD discs included in this purchase for multi-format collectors. There is no digital copy included with this edition. The case came in great condition.-1 star for the scenes that I thought was crazy for thinking weren't there, but actually were cut from this release. They are not significantly impacting, as I didn't notice until leaving this review but now my feelings of confusion when watching are justified. I knew something was missing from the dolphin tank scene in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective...

Classic Jim Carrey
Although this "overacting" style of comedy is on the outs nowadays, these 90s/00s movies by actors like Carrey and Mike Myers are exceptionally rewatchable.

Finally, the DVD I have been waiting for.
This is a widescreen, beautiful example of why Jim Carrey owned the 90s. So many crazy, hilarious moments to savor as Mr. Carrey brilliantly mugs his way to the end. A nutty plot but who cares? It's just a joy to watch him put such a character on the screen. It's coupled with Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls which makes this an incredible bargain.
