How do you keep them upright without needing to keep pulling on the string?

To have the wings extend you need to pull on the string.

This color says white, but we want red, as pictured. Which is it?

Can the non-mechanical Devil wings be folded down by hand, for instance if you're in a crowd and they'll be in the way? Thanks.

These wings do fold down. Actually to open them out, as shown in the picture, there is a thin cord you pull to extend them. They don't stay open unless you are holding the cord tightly. The cord is very thin, as are the wings themselves (very lightweight). My 12 year old granddaughter used them for Halloween.
