I love this raincoat and it matches the one I got for myself. Sadly, it is just a little too snug on my dog so I'll have to return it. We got an XL so I won't be able to get a bigger size, and I really wish I could, because this coat is great quality and it looked super cute on my pup.

I purchased this item as a gift for my little pup for Christmas thinking full well that she wouldn't allow me a chance to put this one her since she's not really the type who likes any clothes on her. Amazingly enough, it rained recently and I was able to get the raincoat on her. She's a terrier mix weighing about 9 pounds. Her measurements are 12" back, 10" neck and 16" chest. The XS size couldn't have been a better fit for her and it was really delightful seeing her dressed up in purposeful clothing.For the areas it covered, it kept her nice and dry. I was worried that her harness being one in combination with this rain coat might have made her less mobile, but she was very mobile and I think a bit more calm than she tends to be; I'm not sure if it was just the adjustment to wearing the coat since she usually only wears a harness. In any case, with the harness on, I was able to fit her into the coat with no issues and the harness connector on the back to her leash was also not a problem; you can see in the image how I had her leashed up.Overall, I'm very pleased with this product. My pup is victim to wanderlust and loves to explore, even in the rain. This coat did a really great job keeping her mostly dry, as any rain coat does. It looks great; I think it feels great - the materials used help keep her dry and a bit warm on the inside whereas other raincoats are just a plastic poncho - who wants cold plastic touching them in a rain storm? When I took off the coat, I didn't feel wetness on the inside of the coat, which is what you would want and expect. The great thing about this coat is that it's now less work drying her when she's been outside in the rain.Ellie Dog Wear, thanks very much for this great product. Construction is very well done. Materials and workmanship appear to be first rate. Features that are great are zipper and button combination, lining ( not insulated) that appears not to shift about, removable hood, and elastic drawstrings to snug coat up if needed. The full belly coverage is nice, especially for low slung dogs as their bell area will not get soaked and dirty. Couple of things that I think need a bit more thought is sizing of the hood. We have a Yorkie and the hood on the XS size will not (totally) fit over her head. It just barely covers her ears, so just a bit larger would be nice. Also, sizing is difficult to determine with charts. Our Yorkie is a bit over 7 pounds and the XS fits great, especially when you allow for cold weather and a swearer underneath it, so something to think about. And, the raincoat does have a slot for the leash to attach to a harness as a lot of raincoats does not have this. I like the rain coat and even though the price is high, compared to others, the materials and construction may be worth it. I’d buy it again

Our dachshund mix has long fur on her belly, which would be nearly drenched any time she would go out into the rain (or even damp grass in the morning). We did a bit of research, and this was one of the few raincoats we could find which a) provided protection on the underside and b) didn't look totally cheap.Dogs are all over the place in size/shape, so it's nice that they have a measurement based sizing chart (rather than weight based). The dachshund shape seldom agrees with weight-based sizing, and we've too often ended up with something that didn't fit around her barrel-chest even though she was well within the weight recommendation. She's about 20 lbs, and we opted for the Medium based upon her measurements. Unfortunately, it's a bit long on her front legs and slightly short on her back. But not terribly so, and I can't fault the seller for not making 20+ different sizes to accommodate every dog breed. We have to roll up the front sleeves to keep her front legs from slipping out when she runs, but otherwise, it really does fit quite nicely. The hood doesn't really work at all for her and comes down right over her eyes. I was going to say this is a purely decorative feature, but some people claim it works for them. May just depend on the shape/size of the dog...We bought this over a year ago and it is still going strong. It doesn't get a TON of use (only when it rains, obviously, and even then we sometimes won't bother putting it on), but thus far, we haven't had any problems with it. The material, stitching, and zipper have all held up well. Sure, she'll still be a little wet after going out in the rain, but her chest/belly will be mostly dry, which is exactly what we were hoping for.Oh, not to mention... it's pretty stinking adorable.

The coat arrived promptly, its beautiful, and very well made. Unfortunately the medium size is a bit too small for my 11 Kg cockapoo, so it won't fasten at the neck (which would leave a patch of chest to get wet when a smallish dog is splashing along on a wet day). Also I found it fiddly trying to fasten the zip underneath her without trapping fur in the zip, and of course it doesn''t cover the back legs at all. I think my dog may be between sizes, so sadly I shall need to return the coat. Her fleece 'onesie' type of coat is not quite so pretty but is more practical.

My dog is generally a diva about walking with a jacket on. He will stand still like a rock. But he loves this raincoat! He walks without any issues for most part (had to fold up the sleeves eventually). Looks super cute, fits really well and finally a raincoat my dog does not refuse!

Looks great can’t wait for another rainy walk fed up Molly getting so wet this will be fab , my only problem after use I gotta the coat I wish it had loops to put around the back legs , yes it has a draw string , but the wind blows the back of the coat up .my laser rain coat had these loops , but not a hood , hence me buying this coat .think I will sew some on my self , I don’t like the big string tie idea , but do love the coat , the hood keeps going over my dogs eyes , maybe should wear without the hood ,even so I a. Happy with my purchase

Love the heavy duty quality of this, including all the buttons and REAL pockets. Looks very sharp and the medium fit our 20lb Frenchie perfectly, with a little growth room.The large was far too big for our 30lb cocker-pug so we had to return it. Would be great if they had an additional size between medium and large.
