Here we go
I guess I'm one of the first to review this new edition. Decent update, more info, diseases, explanations, drawings and images compared to prior editions. These books are basically essential to pass and/or exceed on radiologic exams in my opinion, and most importantly, the core exam. The exam is such a crapshow, you need to know all about the imaging, sure. But add on top of that all this dumb and enormous amount of trivia, rare diseases, associations, numbers, physics, it's absolutely insane what it's become. Its pretty despicable. But it's okay because we've got Prometheus. Anyway, shout out to Prometheus and keep them coming. Btw I'm really digging this cover much more than the prior editions. Kudos to the graphic designer! Thanks,Allam

Good content but poor quality images
Great text content, but many of the image examples have poor contrast essentially rendering them useless. Prometheus has to get a better printer plug for this edition.

Lack of images and innumerable errors
This book is almost universally read by radiology residents for the CORE exam, however I am not sure why. The book is riddled with innumerable errors and figures that are hand drawn in what looks like MS Paint. There are very few true representative images in this book, therefore the reader must take the initiative to look up images for certain pathologies. The ABR posts a guide every year as to what will and will not be covered on the exam, and I am not sure Lionheart has read this outline. His rationale as to what will and will not be covered on the exam is often along the lines of “this disease has a weird French name, therefore it will probably be tested”. To me, this rationale is faulty and will force the reader to feel obligated to learn a spectrum of esoteric diseases that are not likely to be covered. The book can be taxing to read, as the text is inflated with unnecessary innuendos and analogies that are too far of a stretch to be helpful. Lionheart prides himself on rather crass jokes and inappropriate language/humor. While he clearly finds himself to be amusing, myself and many other readers did not share this sentiment.Overall, if you read this series, there is a good chance you will pass the exam, however you likely feel a certain level of unease until your score is returned. I would strongly urge seeking other resources for this test, as there are other more well-written books that would make far better use of your time.

Very low quality print. Worse than photocopy. Good text information.
Not worth the money (£45) for such a low quality print. The paper quality and ink quality is shameful. Get an older edition so you can actually interpret the images, for half the price. Some ultrasound example pictures are literally black blobs with no detail at all. Not greyscale, just black or white images. See linked images to see the poor detail compared to an old version (that has greyscale detail). The text and information is great, but paper and image quality is terrible. There were even ink smeared fingerprints on the front and back cover. So I won’t even give it 3 stars. 2 star, only because the text and tables are great. What a shame.
