FIRSTINFO H5178 Precision Certified Torque Limiting Screwdriver, 1/4 Inch Hex Quick Release Bit Holder, 0.1-1.2 Nm/1.33-10.18 In-lb with Double Scale

I needed a torque limiting driver to do the valve job on my 2014 Triumph Street Triple R. This fit the bill perfectly and performed exactly as I needed. Triumph requires you to install a special tool in the spot where the cam chain tensioner goes and set the torque on the bolt to the exact torque spec before adjusting valves. This is the perfect tool for that job!

I used this to mount my thermal grizzly Intel mounting frame. The settings are low enough and it seems very well made.

A little difficult to adjust easily. The retention for the hex shafy is a little lame (small snap-fit ball) which takes some added pressure to apply the tip. The hold-in-and-turn function is a little difficult, even for one who was born with screwdrivers in-hand. This was a less-expensive alternative to something like the Wiha or Wera low-torque drivers. I seelcted the SAE-focused option, but it's clearly predominantly metric (though has dual readings). the newton-meter, of course is evenly spaced, and the SAE has odd decimals. I would've preferred the opposite, but will acclimate. Shipping container is a little unique, and provided adequate protection. I believe the tool will function well enough. It feels sturdy enough in-hand. I'll use in concert with Wiha 3.5" power bits, which I find to be just about perfect for cordless drills and torque-drivers. They are very clean and smooth.

I needed this to torque the retaining fasteners to 0.6 M/m on a "EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity 2 CPU Water Block". Definitely the most expensive screwdriver I have ever purchased but one that I will certainly use again. I like that it accepts standard bits and the bits lock into the tool so they won't fall out at inopportune times. The adjustment mechanism is quite straight forward and seems to work well. As it turns out, I was able to torque the fasteners to nearly the correct value by hand/feel but it is reassuring to have a tool to verify. Most importantly, the tool does allow one to be sure that all the fasteners are equally torqued. If you need a torque screwdriver, this one is good.

Purchased this to assist with installing a new CPU cooler on an old i7 3770k. Was nice to install the cooler without worrying about over tightening anything. Also highly recommend if you use thermal pads like I do. You want to have full amount of allowable pressure on the pad for it to be optimized. This feels very solid and adjusting the torque limits was simple.

Good product, a bit of weight.

Unit works well. Be aware the direct reading scale, however, is in N-m, so calculations are required for in-lb readings. It does have an in-lb scale, but the adjustment dial is in increments of 0.01 N-m, so when adjusted between the major in-lb graduation points you need to convert the N-m reading on the adjustment dial to in-lbs and add to the in-lb indication on the scale.

Fantastic tool, feels premium to use and easy to use. Cant check if the torque specs are as accurate as they say but they do supply a test sheet and everything seemed to work fine.
