Copper Tingles do the job.
Tingles arrived very quick and job completed same day. The thickness of the tingles are very good and will certainly hold the slates in place for many years.

6 inches long, 1/2 inch wide and about 1mm thick. Each strip has a 3mm hole drilled through for nailing. These are perfect and very cost effective - I got 6 for about £2 all in. Just the job for DIY slate replacements,
