Jockey Women's Underwear Skimmies® Wicking Slipshort

I've always avoided wearing skirts or dresses because of the dreaded thigh rub. I've tried Bandelettes, which are basically lacy bands that go around your thighs, but I found that those weren't as comfortable as I might have liked. So I was eager to try these Skimmies, which are basically like shorts, but made of a thinner slip-like material. And these were exactly what I was looking for. For someone more accustomed to wearing pants than skirts, the style felt super comfortable; the wide waistband is reminiscent of yoga pants and fits just right, smoothing without creating lines; the whole thing minimizes lines everywhere, though you still have to be a bit careful about wearing just any old underwear underneath; and the legs are long enough that they don't ride up. I tried the shorter version of these as well, but didn't like those as much, since the legs didn't seem to stay in place as well. Still, the longer length seems fine for pretty much any dresses that I want to wear, and I have pretty short legs. The one thing you need to be aware of is that this isn't really shapewear. It might help smooth out your stomach a little bit, but it won't really flatten it at all. On the one hand, this means that it's really comfortable; on the other hand, it means that it may not meet all of your needs. Personally, I liked these enough that I actually wore them on my wedding day, prioritizing comfort a bit over flattening. The important thing is that I was able to walk around in a dress for hours in the hot sun with absolutely no thigh trouble at all. I can't really express how happy I am to be rid of thigh rub, and with an article of clothing that's no trouble at all to wear. It feels comfortable and natural. I'm sure I'll be purchasing more of these in the future.

I bought one of these, then bought the multipack later on, I liked the first set so well. They are very comfortable. Not too tight, and they (mostly) stay in place. I bought them to wear under a hiking skirt, and they are perfect for that. Not too hot to wear on a hot day. They don't feel wet even when you perspire. They keeps your legs from chaffing. And if you are modest, and happen to stumble and fall, they are not too awful to be seen by a stranger who witnesses the unfortunate event. The legs do creep up slightly when you hike uphill, but they were not uncomfortable when that happened. I mention the creeping only in the interest of full disclosure. They wash well and easily line dry overnight. I'm going to take them on a long backpack trip, later this summer.

I love the look and ease of dresses, but in the warmer months I hate the sticky, sweaty feeling of bare legs under a dress. These are the perfect solution with the added benefit of coverage you'd get from a regular slip. This variety I like better than the original Skimmies because the fabric has more of a slick texture that skirts can glide over (the originals are more microfiber feeling and I've had skirts cling to it). They are very comfy and you can stretch or not stretch the legs to adjust the length depending on how long your skirt is. I do find the waist bunches up from sitting but not so badly that it creates a bad look under clothes. I can smooth it back easily. I'd definitely recommend trying a pair if you want to avoid sticky legs in the summer! As far as sizing, I wear an 8-10 in pants/dresses and the L size fits comfortably - not too tight or too loose.

I have been looking for a pair of "no hose" as I call them that fit like the top of a pair of control top pantyhose. So, that means that they smoothed and lifted my hips, butt, thighs and stomach without putting them in a Spanx like choke hold. I can't STAND most bodyshapers and Spanx because they are sooooo uncomfortable to me and cause bulges over the waist and thigh edges!! I had tried the other Jockey slip shorts and they were better than a lot of the other shapers that I tried in terms of comfort, but don't have enough compression to really smooth and lift. So, I decided to purchase this "model" when I got pregnant because I liked the comfort of the other Jockey slip shorts and was hoping for a little more "control top" action in these. I also wasn't really feeling the maternity shapers because the waists met my bra line (I'm short at 5'1") and I get itchy with things over my stomach. These fit right at navel level and offer just enough support to smooth and lift without causing bulges or internal organ damage. I ordered 2 pair in large for my pregnancy and plan to order a few more in medium for post pregnancy as these are the best kind that I've found since Victoria Secret had the low rise shapers 10+ years ago and discontinued them :(. I just pray that Jockey doesn't discontinue these!!

I had high expectations for these slip shorts. I was told how awesome they were and really wanted to believe it. My expectations were exceeded!!! They are incredible! Only wish I had found them sooner. They fit perfectly, not too tight but they also don't move around or ride up while wearing them. They help with the clinginess that often accompanied my other shorts that I wore under dresses(won't be wearing those again). They wick sweat, so are perfect for the warmer months, and they feel wonderful on. I plan to order at least 2 more pairs... I wear lots of dresses, especially in the summer! Thanks, times a millionJockey and bye-bye thigh rub!!! For those wondering about sizes... I typically wear a 14/16 in pants, a 12/14 in dresses. I think the XL would've been great too, but I was worried they would be too tight and more like shapewear if I went smaller. Now I don't think they would, but I will probably order the same sizes next time too. They are just so comfortable!

I would recommend these to anyone wearing a dress, especially during the summer. They were very comfortable and worked as expected.

I wish I’d discovered these sooner! They prevent sticky thighs in summer & add warmth in winter. I got married in winter and wore them under my dress. Supremely comfortable and fit like a dream.
