George Washington's Farewell Address (Books of American Wisdom)

This is a very small book and can be read in less than 30 minutes. However, you may need to look up some of these words that they used in the 1790's. Regardless, everything that Washington warned US about is coming true and we need to read the words from our Founding Father himself. No wonder he was the Father of Our Country.I am buying several books for friends and relatives.

I will just repeat my headline... Every US Citizen should own and read this! Up until 1947 George Washington's Farewell address was part of a national civics' curriculum and it should be again. His message is still on point and relevant today and offers sage advice for the times we are now confronting.

Since its arrival, I've read this four times, gaining more knowledge each time. In that addess, George Washington warned of futute problems saving our Republic. The man was, tragically. correct on every count, from corrupt politicians, lust for power politicians and attemps by foreign countries attakinc us, not with force, but with guile and false promises. Excellent, excellent!!!!!!

Came when expected. Great quality. Important for American history.

I really like this book there really no dislikes for this book it is really interesting where George Washington wrote to the country before leaving office hence the name farewell address but I really like this book it's really interesting I find it an intriguing form of writing

It is amazing how you can look at so many pieces from our past and think to yourself "they knew what was coming." Though not written in it's entirety by George Washington, this address makes you think that very thing.
