Beautiful dimensions gold kit!
I have bought many dimensions gold kits over the years, and this one with Victorian style ornaments, is as amazing as the rest! I just started working on the kit and it is well organized, with floss separated and easy to tell apart. Directions are clear and easy to read, and the quality of the materials are great. Excited to see how this turns out!

Not for beginners
It’s a very nice looking kit but definitely for more advanced cross stitchers. I’m more of a beginner but I’m going to try to complete it because it’s very pretty.

Love it
I am a beginner cross stitcher. At first it was confusing but I caught on quickly. It comes with everything you need and I’m so excited to have hand made ornaments for my tree for Christmas

Beautiful and complex! -- Presents a bit more of a challenge for a more experienced cross-stitcher
These are the perfect ornaments for someone who has "been around the block" with cross-stitching, who wants to create a real work of art, not just another 2D Santa face saying "Ho Ho Ho". :) They're absolutely gorgeous! The cloth and thread are high quality, the colors are very rich (there are many, many of them!!), and the patterns are pretty well done/readable/large (as far as cross-stitch patterns go). The thread came pre-sorted, which was a big help with so many close colors! (I just recommend putting them immediately onto labeled cardboard bobbins or something, to tell them apart and to keep them untangled.)As something of a veteran cross-stitcher myself, I've complicated the design even further by implementing quarter-, half-, and three-quarter-stitches where none are suggested, and it's really crisping up the corners! (The pattern simply uses full cross-stitches and half-stitches for fill designs, so everything is done by blocks of color; this is the only failing--in my opinion--of the pattern, but if you've cross-stitched much it's pretty easy to use intuition to remedy it if you care to. On the other hand, the cloth grid is so small, it makes less difference, and makes it harder to do the teenier stitches, which is doubly why I imagine they skipped them. However, I'm a perfectionist.)I love that this gives me a "big" project that can be broken into small pieces, particularly for portability and ease of handling (I cut the fabric into 6 pieces and stitch one ornament at a time on a 5" hoop), but also so I feel some real progress is being made as I complete an entire ornament (even though it's only a portion of the whole project). It is a pretty small Aida count, though, so I don't recommend getting it if you have trouble seeing very small stitches, or don't have a good magnification system to remedy it,
