I liked the house but should have been told about having to spend several $$$ on a bat attractant spray to actually have any bats live in the house. Perhaps a tiny container of spray could be included with house and add about $4-5 extra. I would not have bought the house if I had known the exhorbant charge for a very small bottle of attractant.

My husband is a builder so he knows when something is well built. He was thoroughly impressed with not only the materials used but with the craftsmanship in this box. Not installed yet but very happy with this purchase.

The Bat House installed easy and looks great, still haven't seen any bats yet. The house appears to be well made of cedar, though it doesn't smell like cedar. We have only had it for a couple of weeks and are still happy with it so far.

Unit comes with 2 nails. I preferred using 2 stainless screws. In either case, the head of the nail or screw does not fit "through" the key-hole top hanger. It touches the wood, and you cannot get it to slide into position. I removed the mount, then used a plunge-router to make a small relief area under the mount.I previously purchased another brand bat-house, with similar mounting key-hole, and had no issues with that mount.

Probably more of my own fault for not doing enough research first. These are pretty small which is ok i guess if you arent actually trying to get them out of your house or barn. FYI Bats need at least 3 feet to drop from the box and the box itself needs 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight.
