Philips 3200 Series Fully Automatic Espresso Machine w/LatteGo, Black, EP3241/54 & Philips Saeco AquaClean Filter 2 Pack, CA6903/22

I bought this coffee machine over a year ago and have put it through its paces before writing a review. Let's start off with, I like this machine a lot. I had a lot of experience with other machines when I lived in Europe and this machine is pretty good. Pros: Great price over some higher-end machines with similar features. Large hopper for coffee beans. Grinds well. Creates really good cups of coffee. Cons: Very loud, more so than other machines I have used. Cleaning is a pain, the lubrication on the inside gets coffee grounds stuck in the lubrication making it difficult to clean. Plus, pulling out the main mechanical module is not the easiest I have seen. It leaks water down into the drip tray when brewing, which means you have to empty the drip tray often. The milk frother works ok but would be better to have the frothing wand. Small catch bin for coffee grounds. If you are looking for your first coffee machine that will not break the bank and will provide you with a good cup of coffee, this machine will work fine for you. If you have a lot of similar experience with machines like I do, this machine is not going to create the coffee you might expect. I bought this machine based on price point alone. Next time, I will likely purchase a different machine and probably one made in Europe.

It is a stinker to clean, and using the aqua clean filter is essential. The milk container is very small, so bought a 2nd one for a quick change. The hot water dispense is just weird that it goes thru the milk frother. The bean hopper is nice and large, and if I use a reduced fat milk for the cappuccino, it makes an excellent froth. All in all.....For under a thousand dollars, its not bad. It kind of grew on us.
