AKA “How I Turned Into a Greased-Up Island Snack”
Hawaiian Tropic Island Tanning Lotion –Aight, listen up—I was NOT ready for this. I thought I was just putting on a little tanning lotion, right? You know, get a nice glow, look smooth, stunt on people at the BBQ. But nah, bruh—this lotion had other plans.Step 1: The Slathering ProcessI squeeze some in my hand, and first off—it smells like a tropical vacation with Beyoncé whispering in your ear. Coconut, vanilla, sunshine—this stuff smells so good I almost licked my arm. Almost. But then I start rubbing it in… and yo, this ain’t just lotion, this is straight-up LIQUID GOLD. I was out here shining like a brand-new trumpet in a marching band. Every inch of me looked glossier than a Krispy Kreme donut straight out the oven.✔ Skin? Slicker than a used car salesman.✔ Abs? Didn’t have any, but this lotion gave me the illusion.✔ Mosquitoes? They took one sniff and started putting in real estate offers.Step 2: The Sun BetrayalSo now I’m out here, feeling moisturized, melanated, and magnificent, thinking I’m about to get that rich mahogany, cocoa butter glow. But 30 minutes later? I smell something burning. It’s ME.This lotion said “SPF 4”, but apparently that stands for “Sun Please Fry” because I was cooking like a rotisserie chicken at Costco. I walked past a mirror and almost called 911. I had that “fresh-off-the-grill” shine, looking like somebody basted me with a whole stick of butter.Step 3: The AftermathI spent the rest of the day smelling like a toasted coconut and walking like a crab because my thighs were on fire. My wife took one look at me and said, “You look like a burnt caramel macchiato.”Was I in pain? Yes.Would I do it again? Also yes, but next time with SPF 50.Final VerdictIf you wanna smell like paradise, shine like a supermodel, and risk looking like a well-done steak, this is the lotion for you. Just don’t forget to reapply, or you WILL be out here looking like BBQ ribs.– Smelled amazing, looked delicious, suffered greatly.

Hawaiian tropic spf 8
I've used Hawaiian Tropic for many years. SPF 8 is my go to once I get a base. It smells tropic (coconut forward) but not too overwhelming. Goes on smooth and not sticky at all. Absorbs quickly. I buy it year after year and will keep doing so. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. As a top 30 reviewer, I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,200 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including well over 26,000 likes. BOTTOM LINE: I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

Awesome fragrance!
The perfect amount of SPF for the weak NY sun. I like this product as it's hard to find a suntan lotion in NY under SPF 35. And here, even in the summer anything over 15 is unnecessary and this stuff smells fabulous!

Ok I love this
Ok I don’t have so much hair, but sunburn on my scalp hurts. I apply this in my hair and it helps me and protects my bald head from sunburing.
