Fiskars 165190-1001 Heavy-Duty Carving, Chiseling and Sawing Set

This is a great set of tools for my graphic design needs. A solution for every scenario. The handle with interchangeable blades requires less storage space and I love the little case provided. It is magnetized so the blades stay in place when I open the case. My hubby is jealous of my find. Recommend!

I use this product for collage work so I’m cutting very fine paper it works great. I love this handle it’s easy on the hand. Keeps the sharp edge longer than most It’s durable and a good value

I will start by saying these have cut great and feel comfortable in the hand. Fiskers does excellent blade work. The handle is easy to use and feels natural. Two annoyances are the insert tray is cheap, flimsy and brittle, and that the handle seems to absorb dirt and grime. I dropped the case once and while the case itself held up great, it opened up and every piece went flying. Literally every piece. The insert shattered some as well. The case itself held up great and has stayed white and mar free. The handle however gets dirty just by looking at it, and must be porous in places since it is almost impossible to clean. That said, i use third set almost daily and love the blades hold up and work amazingly well.

I love this set already. The case is nice and sturdy and magnets hold the blades in place which is helpful. Switching blades is pretty easy and so far it holds the blade securely. I like how comfortable it is to hold, way better than fhe exacto knives.

I bought these to carve a rubber stamp. I'll definitely use for others projects as well. Everything was sharp, easy to hold and feels sturdy. It all comes in a handy case for safekeeping.

Unfortunately the design of this things is not the best on top of receiving a rusty blade. Having to twist the plastic piece then push it down when it’s tight enough around the blade feels like it’s going to break, and getting it back open is a nightmare. If you tighten it just a little bit less so it’s slightly easier the blade will just come right out. Still trying to figure out if this is junk and I need to return it. I wish it just had the easy tightening piece at the top you twist then it would actually be nice and easy to use.

From now on, all the cutting tools for my workshop, will be Fiskars!!

Erstmal zum Griff: Dieser ist stabil, liegt gut in der Hand und kann durch drehen des Klemmhebels alle Klingen, Sägen, etc. in dem Set super halten. Hier gibt es keine Beanstandungen. Die Klingen: Scharf und ebenfalls mehr auf der stabilen Seite. Besonders die Schaber-artigen Klingen stelle ich mir als Nützlich vor. Die Box: Etwas klobig, halb so dick hätte es sicher auch getan, aber gut. Die Sägen: Hier kommt das echte Manko des Sets, und warum ich etwas enttäuscht bin da ich mir das Set hauptsächlich wegen der Sägen holte - die #15 Schlüssellochsäge (die mit der Stufe) ist in Ordnung. Die #27 Bastelsägen und die Rasiersäge (Razor Saw / Extra Fine Serrated Saw) sind Schubsägen, nicht Zugsägen, was ein erhebliches Problem darstellt - beim Ziehen kann man präziser und feinfühliger arbeiten, außerdem fällt das Sägen leichter. Qualitäten, welche beim Modellbau sicher unerlässlich sind. Effektiv sind somit die beiden Sägen fast unbrauchbar für den eigentlich gedachten Einsatzzweck, somit hier Punktabzug.

Worth the price and no complaints.

I got the product to help in wood model boat making ,i found the Fiskars blades very good and strong including the mini saw blades I find the half round blade probably the most useful and it is unclear if one can order this individually

I’m a pretty serious crafter and had higher expectations from a Fiskars product. The blades are mediocre (My dollar store blade is better). One of the chisel tip blades quickly “chipped”. The little mitre saw is handy and makes nice smooth cuts, but it does not stay in the handle properly so I need to hold the top and use it without the handle. The other saw blades are not overly sharp. Overall, I’m disappointed with the quality.

Instead of the standard knurled rings, this lever functioning lock doesn't hold the saw blades or knife blades securely and they fall out immediately. Quite unsafe at all times.
