Perfect for trips where Golf is not the focus
This is exactly what I was looking for where I want to golf a round or two while on a business trip. I have a couple of hard cases which can hold my clubs, bag and shoes. But it's tough to fit those into a rental car (usually takes up the entire back seat) and is bulky for travel through train stations (like in Japan). So I end up renting on those business trips where I'm only going to play a round or two. And renting is really hit or miss. I'm tall so my clubs are all custom fit and I'm very fond of my putter and short irons. Rental clubs can be new (and nice) or just crap - but the putter is always a new experience and you're stuck working with a pitching wedge for everything from 125 yards and in. This case WILL fit 14 clubs but that's a tight fit. Rather, this case is perfect for about 9-10 clubs which include my putter, driver, wedges and a smattering of long and mid irons. As mentioned in another review, that's all you really need. And the case is light and easy to carry - it needs to be checked but it's nowhere near as difficult to get through an airport as the typical hardcase. I can pack my shoes, some balls and other golf stuff into a small carry case (or existing luggage) and I'm good to go. I've checked several courses about just borrowing a bag and they all answered 'no problem, no cost'. For me, it's easy to ask a friend or business associate to loan a bag as they all golf and have extras around. If you don't stuff the case, you could actually play out of it. I've tried just for fun and it wasn't hard as long as you can get it strapped on the back of the cart. I golfed St. Andrews a month ago and brought my hard case which sat in the back seat of the rental car for 8 days while I toured Scotland. I would have much rather had this in the trunk. If you travel - this is an accessory you need to pick up to complement your other equipment. Finally, as mentioned in another review - pick up two 'Lewis n Clark' TSA locks for the side latches to keep them secure when traveling. They fit great and are an easy add and reasonable priced.

Awkward to Travel With, But Gets the Job Done.
I purchased this because I didn’t want to wag along my bigger golf club travel case. I watched some videos or read some reviews and took some advice from some of the folks who purchased this before. Namely, the TSA tie type locks. Drilling holes on either side of the gray and red cover than inserting. These locks was the winner. The military style claps that come with the unit are worthless, not worthless in that they’re cheap, worthless in that they do not stay closed during luggage handling. I traveled from Orlando to Sydney, and got my clubs off the belt in Sydney, the military style twist locks that, the unit were both open, not connected, and I even had put small tire wraps through them. But my red and black TSA type kept it all together. I was surprised how many clubs this Holds. I have everything I need there and pack the clubs that I don’t normally use and overall I’m pretty happy with it. I will say that this is the most awkward shape and length as expected to travel with. It doesn’t stack on anything it doesn’t lean up against anything comfortably if you’re moving with a smart cart and you have your suitcase on it it’s falling all over the place. It’s just characteristic of the shape and size. But again it does what it’s supposed to do and I would probably buy it again.

Design flaw - locking mechanism
It arrived at baggage claim with the head cover missing and my driver shaft cracked. The rest of my golf trip was a nightmare. The seller offered me a few dollars, but nothing else.Since the case looks like a weapons carrier on first impression, TSA will inspect it. They will then get frustrated by the complexity locking mechanism and rip it open. They will then struggle to put it back together and not bother to do so properly. The locking mechanism is just a bad design. They should have designed it with TSA in mind.

Great for taking on the plane, easy to carry on shuttles and Uber. Playing not as good.
I recently purchased the SKB Cases Portable Lightweight Hard Plastic Roto Sunday Golf Club Airline Travel Case. Great getting to the plane, checking bag ( no worry about being over 50 lbs or clubs getting damaged ), airport shuttle and Uber. I fit 10 clubs in the bag. The issues are that you must have a seperate bag ( I used a small zip tool bag to carry my golf shoes, glove, tees, balls, GPS etc). This fit nicely into my carry on. I then kept this bag in the back of the cart while playing. I also put my phone, wallet and keys in the small bag while playing. The only real problem was playing out of the bag. There is no grid to seperate the clubs when playing. All of the clubs fall into the bag and it is a pain to dig into the bag and find wedges and putter, which are the shortest clubs and they work their way to the bottom. A removable , snap on plastic grid with 6 openings would take this product from a 3 1/2 to a 5 Star product.

For myself this case did as well as I had hoped. I think this is a great option for moving your clubs long distances through multiple carriers hands. I actually fit 16 clubs; Ping Blueprint irons 3-pw, Ping Glide Forged 52,56,60 wedges, 34” Ping Sigma2 Fetch mallet putter with Pistol Grip, Ping G410 Plus Driver and Ping G410 3,5,7 woods. All my clubs have + 1/32” over grips and I used the FaceSaver Plus iron covers bought from Amazon for all the irons except two wedges. I had to pack the irons in carefully and alternated between club head in first to grip end in first to get the clubs to all fit. The driver and fairways I removed the shafts and packed the shafts in then the heads with head covers in last. The wrench even fit. It takes some fiddling, 5-10 minutes of adjusting, to get all these in but they fit and fit tightly, which is good. Lastly I’d say this case isn’t great for course play. Well for me it sucks for course play but I didn’t buy it for that. Maybe if you only travel with a Sunday set it would be ok but the case is pretty deep for your irons so it’s fiddly getting out what you want. In a pinch it does what is needed on the course, hold clubs. If you are looking for a travel bag/case to play out of I’d skip this one. If you're wanting protect $4,000 in clubs to move all the way around the world then buy it.

Great product! Easy Transport.
I used shipping tape to cover the latches.

Great concept but latches need re-design
Great concept and works really well to transport clubs efficiently, however, the latch design is flawed. As with another review that I read, the top came off mine in transit. So I confirm that this can be a problem. I still really like it and glad I bought it, will just have to engineer a fix.

Most ideal travel case for golf clubs
The size and compisition (hard case) makes it the most ideal travel case for my clubs. It is super compact, no need to wheel around a large travel bag as this is not convenient for those frequent travel. It fits 5-9, PW, A, SW, 1W, 3W clubs, if you are careful with how you put your clubs in.I would give it 5 star if the price was cheaper, but i dont regret getting it b/c of how compact it is and how safe i feel my clubs are when travelling. Also the rubber base came off , b/c one of the holes was not placed in the correct possition to make it a tight fit. I made another hole to fix the issue. Before purchasing , i read the reviews about the issue with the latch holding the lid onto the base. To prevent any problems with it while travelling, i created a sock (see attached picture) to provide an extra level of protection.

Peace of mind when you need to take a few clubs on a flight
Easy to carry and does the job. Protected the three clubs I was taking with me on a flight well. Not cheap but peace of mind knowing the clubs should survive air travel with no problems. Locking mechanism is a bit fiddly.
