Fun trip book

Good book but too heavy to take on the trip in May

Sehr ordentliche, verständliche Zusammenstellung der wichtigen Sachverhalte. Die Systematik der Hauptgruppen ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Allerdings kann der geologisch unbedarfte Laie wenig damit anfangen.

If you are visiting a national park with notable geology, This book should enhance your enjoyment. On a trip to Zion, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon, I borrowed my son's copy--it was the text for a college geology course. After a recent trip to Crater Lake, I bought my own. It is quite readable and has lots of illustrations.

I found this book very informative and also a very easy fun read. It provided so much useful information that keeping it after my class to accompany me while I travel to different national parks has crossed my mind!
