Is this smoothe? the description says yes, but the photo looks like there is a texture to the paper

Hello - this is a very smooth paper. When looking at the photo in zoom mode, you see a greatly magnified view of the surface, which does make it appear textured.

Can you use this through the printer?

Printing at home is dependent upon your printer specifications. This paper line is laser and inkjet compatible for printers that are capable of handling 100 lb. paper. Flat and rear feed printers and/or printers with a paper type option for "cardstock" are preferable when printing on heavyweight paper. Not all home printers can handle a thicker heavyweight paper.

Is this good to paint on?

It’s quite heavy so I think you could paint on it.

Is this a yellowish ivory?

Yes it is on the light creamy tone with a tiny bit of yellow. Very pale.
