Best cold brewer I've had as of yet.
The media could not be loaded. This cold brew maker is amazing, I really am impressed with this and it's definitely more than I expected it to be. For example I've been not only making cold brew coffee in this but I also use this to make cold brew tea (with lose leaf) I also throw some fruit in with it which also goes right into the filter part. What really amazes me about this cold brewer is the simple fact that the filter works so greatly, zero grounds came threw it which made a nice smooth pure infused coffee and tea. I can't wait to make other things in this such as lemonade and infused water as well. the whole process of using this cold brewer is rather a lot easier than I expected to be as well. Another thing I really admire is how easily I pour this into my glass using the top sealer which is by the way pretty elegant at the same time it's simple to use which is really nice. I have a lot of family gatherings and everyone knows I always enjoy bringing the home made drinks such as coffee and teas and infused drinks as well which this is really also great with. this is so much more than a cold brew coffee maker because I can put anything into the filter area and it also infuses my water /tea and more. cleaning is vary easy as well. the filter is easy to clean, I do not use a dish washer with things like this though some people might but for me this is so simple to clean that I dont feel the need to use a dish washer at all. this is definitely worth 5 stars to me as it's easy to use but elegant perfect for fancy things like weddings or even a nice piece for a social and family cook out. Though this is vary durable in my opinion I will also say that it likely would break if dropped on a hard surface so my advise would be to handle with care as it is also again a vary nice cold brewer. I absolutely love this cold brewer . most of all I love that I can make any kind of infused or coffee cold brew with it. definitely well worth ordering and totally happy that I did.

Good but not great.
I bought this about 7 months ago after trying cold brew and really enjoying it. Decided to try making it myself at home to avoid the time and cost it takes to stop and get coffee every morning on the way to work. Truth be told there isn't much that goes into making cold brew. You just put any coffee grounds you like in cold water and let it sit for at least 12 hours. So while this is a nice looking coffee pitcher you don't really need it to make cold brew. Originally I tried using it with the metal diffuser/filter it comes with. It's a pain and you still end up with grounds in your coffee and have to pour it through a normal filter anyway. Now before the manufacturer comments on here and tells me I'm not doing it right or I'm using the wrong coffee grounds I will just settle that dispute. I've done everything from fine espresso grinds to whole beans that I course ground myself. It doesn't matter you still end up with grinds or fines in your pitcher and have to filter it. On top of that the thing is a pain to clean. From hand washing to running through the dishwasher grinds will remain stuck in it. I also didn't like that it seems to pack tight as the dry coffee absorbs a significant amount of water and expands and then doesn't really seem to diffuse that well. So my solution after 2 months of experimenting, I ditched it and just put the coffee straight in the pitcher, fill it with water, stir it up good, and let it sit in the fridge for 24hrs. I had to filter it after anyways so why not just eliminate the diffuser and make my life easier? After that I noticed my finished cold brew was coming out much stronger and required much less coffee to get it there. Win win in my opinion. On a plus note it hasn't broke in the 7 months I've had it so there is that. So my final thought on the product? If you want a fancy glass pitcher to serve your cold brew coffee or tea in, it is nice. If you don't care what your coffee comes in just buy a cheap pitcher and mix the coffee straight in the water and filter it out when it's done.

LOVE this brewer!
I love this brewer! I got hooked on cold brew coffee when Kroger sent me a coupon for a free bottle of their organic cold brew coffee, but at $6.00 for 32 ounces, I wasn't willing to keep buying 2-3 bottles a week(yes, I drink it daily!). I started with the cheesecloth method, but it was such a mess to deal with. After many positive reviews, I ordered this, and now my addiction is easily taken care of. I found that 14 level tablespoons in the cylinder, and then pouring the water through the coffee slowly (I use distilled water) until the carafe is full works perfectly. I also like that I can use my favorite decaf coffee, since it's almost impossible to find pre-brewed coffee in decaf. After I've let the coffee brew overnight, I filter it through a paper coffee filter in a funnel, then store it in the glass bottles I had from my Kroger purchase. There really isn't any problems with grounds in the coffee, but I just prefer to do that to get rid of any "silt" left from the brewer. I think the carafe is a little delicate to store the brewed coffee in, and that may be why some reviewers have posted negative comments, but it's like anything else. Just use some common sense and this will last forever.

Great product!
This is our new best friend for our cold brew coffee needs! The glass is a little thinner than I would like but no thinner than a normal coffee maker would be. The pour spout seems to work perfectly. The filter works well, however, I cannot seem to grind the beans course enough to not leak through so I just run the coffee through a regular coffee filter after taking the beans out, not a dealbreaker. I did try a different grinder (hand crank camping grinder) that allows for much more coarse grind than the normal electric one but even using that some of the coffee grinds would get through, although not much. I'll stick to using the electric grinder and just filter it to give me the coffee taste we love. The beans too course did not make as good of a brew so I'm sticking with more of a medium to a medium-large grind.
