Hayward touch pad display board
I live in Az and I guess the heat and exposure eventually fried the touch pad control.Replaced the touch pad and that didn't fix the problem. Bought this board which mounts to the back of the touch pad and everything is working well now. Have heard if the touch pad stops working, typically both the touch pad and circuit board should be replaced, as was the case for me.I took a piece of heavy vinyl shelf liner material and punched holes in it to match the upper two mounting hole of the touch pad (positioned between touch pad and body of pool heater). The vinyl then flops over and covers the touch pad to keep it shaded from the sun and rain.Otherwise the board was a great value, pretty easy to do myself, and worked.

plug and play - easy to replace
Had CE error on Hayward natural gas pool heater. Did some on line research for CE error Hayward pool heater...said to replace the display first and then the circuit board if the display did not resolve the issue....since display is cheaper than circuit board. Display did not solve the CE error issue once I tried heating the pool up. End up replacing the circuit board. Circuit board replacement took care of the CE error issue.

Correct Board for Stated Models
Works well. My board went out so I bought this as a replacement. It is the correct board for stated models from the seller. Easy to swap.

Replacement Board & Panel
I had the heater working for about 3 years, I did notice the display panel get sun damage and was meaning to buy the $50 replacement panel. I could still read the digits and control the unit fine. However, I foolishly waited too long and the sun actually caused holes in the panel and caused water to ruin the chip (see corroded chip board at bottom). My pool heater then went dead. No display, non operable. I first bought the $50 panel hoping this was all it needed. Nope - still blank display. Then I bought the $150 chip and it now works fine.I have now taped up a plastic cover over the display preventing direct sunlight.

Your fix for “CE” error message
Kept getting “CE” (communication error) message. I’ve found these heaters to be pretty easy to fix yourself so I held off on telling our pool company about it. Don’t wanna know how much they would charge me /would probably try and sell me a new heater. Figured if this didn’t work I would tell them. Works perfect!

Was the Fix
I was checking something on my deck and realized my pool pump was running but my heater was not. I'm going to provide the back story because another review helped me to solve my problem and I hope this will help somebody else. When I would turn the heater on -it would act like it was starting, the fan would blow but you would not get the clicking sound you usually get when a gas furnace starts and then it would just shut off. I did some searches and came across one that said you need a new mother board and I purchased this one. It came within a couple days. Seemed simple to install - removed it from the bezel (which had worn and allowed water to get to the old one - also replaced during this process) plugged in a couple of items and thought we are all set. Turned on the heater - nothing! No fan blowing! Nothing. I then went into problem solving mode with a couple of helpers. We tried checking the breakers, cleaning off the ignition and were about to quit when we checked a few of the fuses and sure enough there was a blown one. Why? Because while we were trying to troubleshoot this - we realized that the clip on the motherboard can be plugged in both ways. And as I was frantically googling it - I came across a video that said - make sure you plug it the correct way - So, yes - when I plugged it in the first time - I blew a fuse. Replaced the fuse. plugged it in the correct way and the furnace fired right up!!

Cheap and easy
When the controls on the pool heater started acting up, it was clear that I needed some help. I couldn't get up past 78 degrees. It was as if the keypad was stuck on 78. Press the up button, nada. After talking to the local pool supply company, it was determined that it probably was this display board. Well, it wasn't, but after installing it, I decided to keep it anyway because the original was rusty and gunky.Next I got Hayward FDXLBKP1930 Bezel and Keypad Assembly Replacement Kit for Hayward Universal H-Series Low Nox Pool Heater here on Amazon, and that did the trick.Even with both purchases, it was cheaper than having a pool person come out!

Back in the swim
Coupled with the integrated control board, heater is now as good as new. Easy to install.Saved us a bundle of money. Heating company wanted to either sell us a whole new heater or repair this one for $1200.00.Pool company would sell us parts only for $800.00.We are extremely happy. Both products were very easy to install.Service from Amazon was excellent.

Good Experience
Item came well packaged and as ordered. Had one item that wasn't required. K & L Leisure was great to work with on one return item. Overall great experience, highly recommend K & L Leisure.

Easy to Replace
Worked great - other than a few screws, it was basically a "plug-n-play" design for easy installation.

Comme un neuf!
Pièce installé et tout fonctionne très bien. J’ai dû attendre un certain temps pour que le message d’erreur LO s’efface mais par la suite, j’ai réussi a chauffer l’eau de la piscine.
