So happy I took the chance!
Based on the reviews, I was iffy about making the purchase. I wear a size 8 in closed shoes and a 7.5 in open shoes (e.g., sandals). Based on the reviews, I decided to purchase these in a size 7.5 and happy that I did. My feet are narrow at the heel and wider at the front and fit comfortably. Yes, as other reviews indicate, the toe area is roomy. Some may prefer roomy but I prefer support due to a surgery I had on a toe. I tried these on with ankle socks, and voila, they fit more secure at the front. Perfect! I'd wear them with and without ankle socks. I totally love the colors! They are bright and bold. I don't wear barefoot shoes to the gym so I can't recommend them one way or the other, thus the mid-point rating.

Coming apart after 1 day
Good:1. My son likes the striking red color.2. The toe bumper offers a little more protection than some of the other inexpensive barefoot-type shoes.Bad:1. The build quality is poor -- they started coming apart after the first time wearing them (!).2. The heel area is quite wide for a relatively narrow shoe. There's a reason these shoes have an extra eyelet for a runner's knot...

EXCELLENT RUNNING SHOES
Im very picky about running shoes and i sweat a lot and my toes flex up when I run so my toe area usually wears and tears pretty quickly. Im unbelievably impressed with these. Totally shocked at how well they have held up. I run both outdoors and on treadmill. They are superlight weight and allow my foot o do its on thing rather than conform to shoe shape. I put roughly 30 miles a week on them and they lasted 5 months! Definitely getting a few more pairs before they get too popular and cost what typical good running shoes do.

Poor quality adhesive
I liked this shoe felt very comfortable. The problem I had was after wearing it on the third time (just strolling only about 45min ea. time) the sole started to detach. I would have expected it would last longer than that.

Great barefoot shoe though not durable
As someone who has been into barefoot shoes over the past 1 and 1/2 years. Great ground feel. One of the best in the sense of ground feel. Very flexible and light. Form fitting for the extra wide, high instep foot. Current pair, just not durable enough. Only put about 20 miles for the last 3 weeks. See the arrows in the pictures. Still wearable, though. Thus, 4 starts, not 5. An extra eyelet, to tie a heel lock if you wonder. Wish for more color variations as in men's.*Update 5/2/2022: Above areas indicated by arrows all came off eventually. Had to be glued. Became a bit messy. Still functional.

Well made but significant sizing problem
The shoe has the zero drop and light weight I am seeking, but the sizing is impossible. Consistently my shoe size in this type of shoe does not change. This shoe was too long and too wide. I am trying to decide if I should exchange for a smaller size or it this shoe will work at all. I can almost get the instep to work if I tighten the laces to where they almost overlap. The toe box is impossible. Even when I tried with heavy sox it is almost an inch too wide. It almost gives the appearance of being clown shoes. Description needs to include “runs large” and “suitable only for wide feet”

Great walking/trail shoes.
I transitioned to barefoot shoes a few years ago and now I can’t wear anything else or my feet hurt. But I have kids and life is expensive, so I can’t be dropping $200 on shoes all the time. These do well as a cheap Merrill Vapor Gloves. I’m curious to see how they last. The thing I do like about this design is that there are NO toe nubs like a lot of these cheap barefoot shoes. They aren’t trying to look like 5-fingers. They are also not marketed as water shoes, so the soles don’t have holes or vents like some other designs. Which is great! Overall great option for the price! I wear a 38 in vivobarefoot and the Womens 7.5 fit great. They do look kind of cheap, but I’m okay with it.

Comfortable for my feet AND my wallet
I purchased these, in my usual shoe size, after my physical therapist recommended them. I recently had foot surgery on my first metatarsal and was having trouble regaining flexibility in my ankles and toes with a regular running shoe. I was hesitant about these, but figured if they helped the $30 was worth it. I was shocked to find that these were incredibly comfortable, easy to put on, and have a nice wide toe box. I brought them to therapy the same afternoon I got them and my therapist was thrilled to see I was able to move better in these shoes! For the price I would say these are definitely worth trying to see if they work for you!
