I purchased this book for an empowerment group that I have with children. I intend to incorporate the recipies/food suggestions into team building groups. I have looked through the book and was impressed by it. True, some of the recipies are not that unique, but, after all, thir focus is for preparing food for children. I appreciate that it provides suggestions for Super Hero themed food that might also encourage children to eat more healthy and diverse menu suggestions. The templates in the back that can be used for applying colored sugar to cookies are a thoughtful addition, as are the Super Hero stickers that can be applied to items that add to the presentation of the food. Illusion and presentation are part of the fun of making meals appealing. I loved the suggestions for embellishing glasses for drinks and lunch bags, etc. Sure, you can go to Pinterest and find anything you want that is themed, but this is all in one book and there is something satisfying to me about having a book to browse through. I showed the cookbook to the kids in the group and they loved it and enjoyed spending time looking through it page by page.

I think that this book is a great premise, and it does help inspire attempts at having fun while cooking. My son hasn't really expressed a strong interest in cooking any of the included recipes beyond making the Superman-shaped cheese. I think the more that it is referred to, the more interest that will be shown. It would be nice if the included cutouts would be more durable considering that they will be used with food (perhaps made out of plastic?).Overall, we are happy with it.

Very cute idea, I bought this as a gift for a friend of mine with an 7 year old son. Thought they could spend some quality father son time in the kitchen with a fun twist. I also bought the Superman apron to go with this (added Wonder woman apron as bonus gift for Mom). Anyway, the first book I got was bent, not sure what happened, but the seller was very quick to respond and provided a replacement before my original purchase was even returned and processed! Got to love that! Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

A friend bought this book for our son for Christmas. He promptly lost it. However, we all loved it so much that we bought a replacement ASAP.The recipes range from extreemly simple (add blackberrys to your blue gatoraid. It's a Black Mantis drink!) to reasonabley complex (layer cake decorated with rock candy, all made from scratch). They also run the gambit of types of recipes. There is a decent mix of breakfasts, sandwiches, sides, main dishes, drinks and deserts.My son enjoyed cooking before we got this -- but this really makes him want to go out and try new recipes, sometimes because he likes the character, sometimes because it looks so delicious.

My 7 year old son loves this book! Plenty of cool recipes he's excited to try! I love that he shows and interest in cooking so this is a perfect way to get him started!

Love it!!

Nice but not what I expected... It's not really a cookbook, it's more about decoration dishes. If you're a superheroe fan you'll like it but it's not very usefull. Another thing is the bookbinding. It's not very good cause it's made with spirals. I don't think that spiral binding was the better for this kind of book.

My 8 year old son, who LOVES superman, likes this book a lot. However, I think the recipes are not really home made ones? Its like food that is already made, but add a superhero emblem to it. Example, hamburgers and you add the superman "S" with ketchup. I guess if he's happy then I am happy.

I bought it as a gift but it's so cooI that I almost kept it for myself. The person who got it was totally blown away by the book. Perfect for any fun-loving person, even more so if you're a DC fan :D
