The safe arrived very quickly and well packaged. I had a hard time picking the color I wanted, but eventually I chose the stormy sand color, which blends right into my closet. There's an instruction manual that comes with the safe, but video instructions are also available. I followed the First Time Operation With Keys video, and it only took me a couple minutes to set the whole thing up. The safe looks great and you can tell that it is made with some good quality metal, as it is quite heavy.The removable shelf is also great, it gives me extra storage space, but it is also flexible in the sense that I can just remove it if I want to store a large item inside.Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase, and would totally recommend the product

I absolutely love this safe! I live in a densely packed NYC apartment. I decided to get the islandsafe after seeing my neighbor accidentally not locking his apartment and getting cash stolen. I love how it fits everything from important documents to fine jewelry without taking over too much space in my shoe box apartment. It looks and feels like a high quality metal (not like the cheap ones in hotels), goes well with the interior of my apartment without making so much contrast to my belongings. Most importantly, it’s very sturdy. I recommend to anyone who’s looking for a safe and even to those who live in apartments and looking for an extra security. Trust me, everyone needs a safe in any city apartments.

This is a nice locking metal box but it is not fireproof or waterproof. It's a single layer of sheet steal with holes in the bottom and back. The only thing that would survive a fire is the box itself, any paper inside would combust and would be damaged by water coming in around the unsealed door or the holes.

If you are looking for a budget safe to secure valuables against amateurs (like my kids friend who may be sleeping over…not that I suspect any would steal) then this safe is fine. But I was surprised how light it is. I could easily lift with one hand, and it feels like a few drops on concrete would be adequate to open it up. Very thin metal. But for $100 it does not job for what I need. If I was looking for a more serious, durable product I would probably stick with the more well known vendors in this space.

Great safe for what i need it for. Solid and easy to set new code. Keys arent your regular cheap ones. Comes with unique set.
