DUCOOversized Polarized Sunglasses for Women Retro Trendy Frame Vintage Ladies Shades UV Protection 1220

OMG what a pair of eye saving sunglasses. A few months ago I had a 3 layer corneal detachment in my left eye and my vision slowly decreased to the point of blurry vision and then not being able to see well enough to read at all. The sun just about did me in and my eyes would water and burn tremendously. My ophthalmologist recommended that I begin wearing RGP contacts to improve my vision and to wear sunglasses at all times even when in a bright room and never to go outside without them on. I have always been light sensitive and have worn prescription sunglasses for years so I had no idea what kind of sunglasses to purchase. The contacts made my light sensitivity even worse. After a lengthy discussion with my contact lens care specialist about what to look for in a pair of over the counter sunglasses I went a lookin'. When I found these I printed out the details and went the Dr. for his opinion. Long story short these glasses fulfill the requirements for blocking 100 percent of UV rays. UVA, UVB, UVC and Blue Light. They are Polarized: Polarized lenses cut reflective glare, not UV. They are oversized: Being oversized glasses or wraparound-style glasses, helps cut down on UV entering the eye from the side. The only protection it does not provide is for HEV:over 400nm. HEV Blue Rays have longer wavelengths (than UV) - 400-500 nm. I am so delighted with these sunglasses that today I ordered another pair. Hopefully your purchase will be as satisfactory as mine is.

The media could not be loaded.  These Duco sunglasses are beautiful and classic in design, so I believe they would flatter most face types. I chose the brown, and I think it compliments my skin tone well. The shape, as I said, is very "universal" and I like the way these look on me. The polarity is great. These glasses are crisp and clear to look through and comfortable to wear. My daughter actually has a larger head than I do, and these are a bit snug on her, so be aware that these may not fit larger heads.The lifetime warranty is for frames and lenses, so I am guessing that if the screws fall out like always seems to happen with me, that is not considered "frames and lenses." The glasses came with a card that mentioned a one year replacement warranty. And in the last line, almost as an afterthought, it says there is also a lifetime paid replacement parts service.Overall, these are an attractive and flattering pair of sunglasses that definitely pass the polarity test.I paid full price for this item. All opinions are my own.

These are adorable, HOWEVER the metal insignia on the side is a horrible design. Literally EVERY time I wear them it pulls my hair into the metal. And if I accidentally forget that they grab the hair and push up on my forehead, I am in a mess and always ends with ripping my hair. Bad Bad design - if you have super short hair go ahead, otherwise don't bother.

UPDATE: 06/07/17One of the side hinges broke off so I contacted customer service and they promptly sent me a replacement (Thank you!).For those wondering if it's really polarized, I've done a test and indeed it was. (See last pic - from today). You can test this on your computer screen by tilting it to the an angle. If it turns black, it means it's passed the test.The new glasses seem sturdier, however, my hair strands are getting stuck every time now which is pretty annoying. I can no longer put these over my head with my hair tied back because they grab my hair and pull it out as I try to put the glasses back on my face. But for the price, these sunglasses are very stylish and do the job.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So far, I am quite impressed with the sunglasses (Duco Women's Shades Classic Oversized Polarized Sunglasses 100% UV Protection 1220), BLACK frames. It comes secured in a box and when you open it, you'll be even more impressed.It comes with everything they tell you it contains: hard case (w/ a hook!), soft cleaning cloth, soft carrying pouch, polarizing test card (nifty!), mini screwdriver. WOW.The glasses fit well on my big round face so I am extremely happy so far. I have not worn them out yet since it is raining here in WA, but once the sun comes out in a few days, will test it out on the road. These frames are well designed and they actually stay on my nose bridge w/out sliding down like others do.Since there are no customer pics, I thought I would attach a few. Enjoy!

Nice fit and looks classy for reasonably priced product. Looks very fashionable! Would buy the same pair again or would give it as a gift! Also the right darkness of the glasses to block out the sun!

I am updating my review. I was a bit disappointed. First, it was annoying getting the earpiece tangled in my hair. I thought I could get around that if I kept my hair up. That didn't work, because my hair still became tangled. As of yesterday, they broke after becoming tangled in my hair again. I purchased two pair and neither lasted long. The ear piece snapped right off on one pair and the lens falls out of the other one. I got them on May 30th. They didn't even last a month.

Garbage, broke at the temple 2 days after I received it. The temple is really thin where it attaches to the metal. I think I wore them an hour, max.

I love sunglasses, always have and always wear them all year around.First time I have purchased Duco.They came with a strong, sturdy case, a cloth, screw driver, instructions, a little card image to test them.Like anything new, they are strong, tight arms and feel tights against the head, ears area which is good as nobody wants slack arms on glasses. Total black out even when looking up at the sun outside. Inside I tried variety of lightness and in some places you cannot see.I want glasses which stop me screwing my eyes up in the sun and pulling faces etc which creates wrinkles, I am after prevent. I have not done this as of yet and will notice more in Summer, where I shall update. So far I am impressed and hopefully come summer I will not scrunch my nose, eyebrow area when wearing them.As described by the seller.Update 20th April 2021.Great for driving, don't get any glare or have to scrunch face due to sun, brilliant for walking again don't have to scrunch face due to glare of sun. Arms of glasses are still strong and tight but don't hurt as much around ears etc no more. I wear them 7 days a week come sun, rain, windy etc and I love them, do all I need and want and I am going to order more.Update July 2021The arm broke and fell off, for no apparent reason. The one arm felt loose, I took them off and saw a hairline crack, I folded the arms and the one with the crack just fell off. The is no logical explanation as to why, always kept in the case, never needed to screw them tighter, never dropped them. I've had cheap pairs in the past and I mean cheap, dropped them, thrown them into a bag etc and nothing. These, taken care of due to price and they last a few months. No happy or impressed.

Very fast delivery. The sunglasses are lovely, very light and comfortable. Came with a very useful little set of tiny screwdrivers to tighten the arms etc., also both a soft and hard cases to keep the glasses in. I am very pleased with my purchase. As yet not worn in bright sunlight so can’t comment on that capability.

Just opened the box, good quality sunglasses, tool to tighten arms if they loosen, cleanng cloth, soft cover bag and hard cover to protect with a fab clip to attach to a rucksack for travelling - or any other item. Would recommend and will be buying in another colour 😎😎

These are the best sunglasses I’ve ever had. Great when I’m driving or sunbathing and very comfortable to wear. Good size, covering well round the eyes. Fashionable too.

Lovely sun glasses. They really protect the eyes, and look smart. They come in a good solid case, with a tool to tighten them up. Excellent value.
