We purchased this for my dad to use on a cruise while he was waiting for knee surgery, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. This was/is a perfect wheelchair for my elderly mother in law who suffered a stroke. My wife is usually the one with her when transporting her is needed, and she's a smaller woman...but the wheelchair is easy for her to handle...lightweight, folds easily, and is very solid/sturdy. This really is a great wheelchair. Not bulky/clumbsy. Comfortable. We did add an extra pad to put on the seat, which helps, but you don't really need to get one. We just went the extra step for our mom/comfort. But, yes...a great wheelchair. No regrets buying this item.
