Works for those with glasses
I have used this for several months. I can confirm that it is heavy with the battery that sits awkwardly on top. However, it provides air movement and filtration, while providing a decent face shield. I use it for lathe work and sanding mostly. It is easily warn over glasses and a beard (I have both).Overall, I think the positives outweigh the negatives. It is costly, but about $800 cheaper than lighter comparable units. I don't know why they don't have a simple belt battery pack, that would make this a five star review. I'm working on a battery hack to make my own, but with the complaints, not sure why Trend hasn't. Still glad I bought it. Rather not inhale that dust (and it does filter wood dust) or get clobbered in the face if the lathe fights back.

Must Have
Must have for dusty conditions in saw dust, stopped all iritations . A little heavy but worth it. The charging light doesn't change colors when fully charged. Sent backed the first one then called company on the second one and they said thats normal.

Comfort ok, filter specs ok, Battery tech... 1970s and doomed to fail
Hand on heart... I liked this product initially and apart from a show-stopper, mostly like it.As an engineer that designs battery powered equipment, this product makes me sad. I'm doubly sad since the other Trend product I have (diamond sharpening plates) are fantastic.First of all, this is half the price of competing products; so I applaud them for that. While the plastic feels lightweight, since the whole unit is head-worn, it really needs to be. It didn't feel overly fragile for someone who takes care of their tools. If you are rough on your fine tools, regardless of my comments below, this probably isn't for you.THE BATTERIES:Back in the '70s and early '80s, we had to take care not to overcharge batteries. Trend's guidelines were to restrict charging, once an archaic "conditioning" process was complete, to something like 7 hours that you had to manually monitor. Hmmmm.... Every cordless tool I have costs less than 1/3 of the cost of this product intelligently manage the charging and I don't have to do it manually. Hmmm.. how many times will I be in my shop seven hours after the battery runs out to stop the charging (assuming I remember). It is inexcusable that they didn't incorporate modern rechargeable features into this product. The included wall-wart charger failed within the return window and the battery also started to bulge (props to Jeff B for the extended 31 Jan return date on my October purchase!!!!). BTW, that's a $58 charger that is $5 for any other modern rechargeable device. Also the battery pack, with three NiMH cells, will cost between $70 and $85 to replace. If they offered the product, at the same price, but I needed to use my own commercial rechargeable cells and charger, I would buy it in a heartbeat!Charger:https://www.amazon.com/TREND-AIR-5L-Battery-Charger/dp/B002Q0Y5MG/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2GBJRWWI44ND7&keywords=trend+airpro+battery&qid=1643863960&s=hi&sprefix=trend+airpro+battery%2Ctools%2C47&sr=1-1Battery:... no Amazon replacement. I'm not sure of Amazon's policy of including alternate vendors, so I'll let you google that for yourselves.

It’s like a $450 toaster.
I really like this Airshield, and it works great, but it is way overpriced for what it is. It’s like paying $450 for a toaster. Some good competition is in order.

Awesome
Dian ally had to spend the money and it was well spent. Turning resin was really never an issue but the moment I start with wood I would develop sinus infections but no longer Airtrend has saved the day.
