Pulse sensor Ar-duino is used to test the heart rate sensor, students, artists, athletes, creator, game developer, or mobile terminal can develop interactive work related to heart rate.Specification:Power: 3-5VDiameter: 16mmMagnification: 330LED Wavelength: 609nmPackage Includes: 3x Pulse Sensor Heart Rate Sensor Monitor PulseSensor for Ar-duino Module Raspberry Pi Review: Easy to use and good results - After adding an amplifier to the output, the output is a pretty clean signal, easily read with an A/D. Kind of fun seeing your pulse in real time. Think my students will get a kick out of it as well. Review: Neat Sensor - This a neat little sensor that uses an LED and light sensor to detect minute changes in light absorption as your blood pulses through your finger. I was able to hook it up to a small OLED display and get a nice graph of my pulse. I don't believe that this is a medical quality sensor. I had to fiddle to get my finger in just the right spot to get a good reading, but it was still pretty cool to play with. The signal generated from the device is an analog signal that needs to be connected to one of the ADC pins of your MCU. The device does not come up with the pins pre-soldered, but wasn't a big deal to solder them myself. The cable was also different than pictured. I received a female-female jumper cable rather than the female-male cable pictured. Which one you actually need depends on what you intend to plug it into. The male jumper end is useful when going into a breadboard but the female works great when you are connecting directly to a pin on the MCU.

False asvertising
Connector not soldered to PC board. Cabling shown in ad is male-female but delivered with female-female. Sure hope this works because everything else is wrong!!

DO NOT BELEIVE THE PICTURES!
I purchased these units because my soldering equipment is in storage and I didn't want to have to deal with digging it out. Every image shows the sensor with the pins soldered on and the description does not state that any soldering is required. If I thought I would have to solder these sensors, I would have purchased a different brand...that is probably what the seller was hoping for. I will NEVER order from this seller again. Leaving out information is as dishonest as fraudulent information.

They work but not what was described
These devices work and have already been able to test some interesting ideas. While they seem to function correctly as far as I can tell, they do come with the assembly required. The pins were not sodered on, and while it wasn't difficult but if you are not comfortable with it, you might be better off finding one that is. Also, the cables that were included were not male-to-female, which is not a deal breaker and was an inaccurate expectation.

Disappointing, The sensor arrived a single board and a set of dupont wires. As others have noted the leads need to be soldered as my wire leads snapped off in transit. For the price point a single sensor is not good value at all, add in the complete lack of documentation and support for anyone and its just not worth this premium price point. I am giving 1 star because the product doesn't match the photos, i only received 1 sensor module, the wires were trashed and required repairs to even use, however what i did receive worked in testing.
