Iv been shopping for new camp stuff this past year and iv been lucky to stumble across a few different small/packable items under $30 that have more than exceeded my expectations for quality at that price. In this case $15 actually gets you a worthwhile, comfy lightweight hammock, a fuzzy yet breathable blanket, and a blow up pillow that nestles in the crevice behind your head quite nicely. After tying up the hammock for its maiden voyage in my back yard, I observed the rope strength/give it displayed by throwing some weight around in various places and seeing if I could get it to budge, loosen, or fray anywhere. Everything passed without a hitch and I found myself eagerly hopping in ready to proverbially set sail. The first 20ish minutes of the next two hours were the most notable as I spent the last hour and a half snoozing. I woke up to my alarm sounding in my lap, immediately set it to snooze and went back to the grind for another 15 minutes of analysis, then repeated this same process once more 15 minutes later to be sure it wasn't a fluke. Both times I woke up fine and definitely fell back to sleep as the collective 30 minutes felt like a total of 4. Ultimately I found myself just wanting to snuggle back in my safe little pouch I pitched, satisfied I made a fine purchase. So... Conclusion. First, the hammock didn't slide a centimeter on either tree while I was in it, which felt like an extra notable feat as it was my first hammock tying in general and I thought I'd be prone to some form of human error regardless of the hammocks quality. Second, the pillow does the job, it is inflatable, so one can't really expect the world here, but I honestly had no complaints, it stayed still, my head never rolled, and my neck wasn't sore, id even go as far to say say it was comfy (just let a little bit of air out once its full so it has some give for your head to nestle in). Third, the hammock itself feels nice, there weren't any bulges at any seams to lay on wrong or annoy any limbs, I fit comfortably, I never sent myself overboard or had to jump ship. So yeah, that's it, basically a 3 hour, maritime inspired tale about a $15 dollar purchase. Ill honestly probably buy another one to have a backup.
