Perfect little book
The subject is something we could all learn from. I really like the way the book is laid out - easy to read. Dip in and out whenever you like. Small, bitesize chunks that are easy to absorb.

it's a great book to have sold in clothes stores
This book should truly be in the hands of every woman who cares about how she dresses. In my opinion, it's a great book to have sold in clothes stores. Anyone in the clothing industry, helping women shop for styles that look the best on them, should know the material in this book. There are far too many American women who seem to be clueless on how to look good by dressing well. The information is easy to understand and can really make a remarkable difference for anyone wanting to look their best. I was ready to go shopping after reading this book, and pass along all the unbecoming garments in my own closet to those who would look better wearing them. My sincere thanks to the author!

FASHION WITH A BIT OF HISTORY
My daughter will be getting married in a year and she wants her wedding to be ELEGANT! I saw this book in a catalog and remembered it. I was even more impressed with its contents than just the ad told. This is a well illustrated book with figure sizes and information to clothe that figure, no matter what shape it is in. Round, slender, pear-shaped, etc. this little book has it all. And the pictures of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, and Grace Kelly and the other models in the examples, are a plus. Here are some examples: Each chapter begins with a little history of the article of clothing and then goes on to say what figure can or can't wear it, and why. It starts with the day dress and covers skirts, blouses and shirts, knitwear, trousers, jeans, coats and jackets, office wear, eveningwear, shoes, socks and hosiery, lingerie, scarves, hats, jewelry, handbags, and ends with " YOUR WARDROBE: Creating a capsule wardrobe." This is advice to dress for success and elegant good taste. It is a pocket guide, and it is pocket sized so that it can travel with you anywhere!
