The Mindful Twenty-Something: Life Skills to Handle Stressโฆand Everything Else [Rogers, Holly] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Mindful Twenty-Something: Life Skills to Handle Stressโฆand Everything Else Review: An Excellent Book For An Excellent Course - I recently took a Koru mindfulness class through my University. I really enjoyed it, and found it extremely useful. I also really liked the book! It was a quick easy read, which was nice with my other work I had to do. I found the messages resonated with me, and being very helpful. The book goes very well with the app, but has everything in it one needs for an introduction to mindfulness. The author gears the book for Twenty-Something year olds. I think its lessons can be used and applicable to other folks in other stages of life. It is a really handy book, and I'd definitely recommend it to others (I already have!). Review: Delicious - Highly recommend this book for anyone who desires to grow and develop in their personal development. The practice of meditation is not meant for everyone, but for some it will be. The principles and techniques of Mindfulness in this book are like water in a desert for a thirsty soul quenching to be a better person in all aspects of life. I wish this book could be a course not only in college, but in all schools, especially in the formative years of middle and high school. The layout in this book was like eating a delicious meal. Enjoy the book and pass it on.

Applies to the Mindful regardless of age!
I finally signed up for this program, which is quite well known in our area near Duke University (where it was developed). The book & the Koru Mindfulness app (Get it!) accompany the classes and help firm your practice. The title turned me off, as I'm decades past my twenties and way beyond concerns about studying, dating, and learning to adult. But the book isn't really geared toward any age. It's simply a great foundation for learning and practicing mindfulness as you build new habits of thinking. I sought a download version but this is really the kind of book you want to physically hold in your hands to highlight, refer back to, or share with a friend.

My college students raved about this book.
I just finished teaching a Koru class to twenty-something year old college students. The author of the book, Dr. Holly Rogers, co-founded the Center for Koru Mindfulness, which trains people to teach Koru mindfulness. This book accompanies the Koru class - the students read the book throughout the class. All of my students who took the class raved about this book. They said that it was easy and fun to read and that it motivated them to meditate! They also reported that it helped them to more fully understand mindfulness and it promoted their state of mindfulness. The book was written for "emerging adults" but as a Baby Boomer, I loved it, too! I am going to gift it to my twenty-something year old son. It's a gem in the mindfulness literature.

Love it!
I was required to read this book for a class and ended up loving it! If everyone could learn the concepts talked about in this book, the world be a lot less stressed all the time. I bought more as a gift for family members.

Great Introduction to Mindfulness
As someone who has been both personally and professionally interested in meditation for many years, I've read many meditation books, and โThe Mindful Twenty-Somethingโ is perhaps the best, most straight-forward, accessible book for newcomers. Even though Iโm a Sixty-Something who has been mediating a long time, it was a pleasure to read, and Iโm certain that readers younger than me will gain even more benefit from it. In fact, I plan to give it to my 20-something son and his wife.

Great meditation techniques
Bought this book to go along with a class that my friend was teaching. Both of my 20 something sons took the class and found the book helpful. It breaks things down in a straightforward way and gives lots of different techniques to try.
