Fit the bill
We had a special need for a pair of boxes this size to use PV system .The size allows use of a 2 - 2'' pvc conduits on each side .They are weather tight and UV resistantWe try to buy from the Ma and Pa places on here.Being disabled . We need to be price conscious. At "The Mother In Laws Place"It is an off-grid cabin, we run DC on a lot of things .We see no need to use the inverter 24/7.just so you can turn on a light when you come home .We use LED bulbs in ceiling mount fixtures that are marked 12-volt DC only. These are controlled by controller with a FOB remote. The controller is board mounted on our PV control center .We use a few of the controllers for different rooms to control each ceiling light .We also run the kitchen stove exhaust fan with DC .The fresh air intake system for combustion is DC .These are fused in our DC only fuse center .This fuse center is controlled by a service disconnect at the DC master box .We also run two AC fuse boxes on our PV board .One protects various AC 110 volt circuits in the cabin , garage and sauna .The other protects 220 volt circuits from the aux gen set and to the split ac/heat pump and the aux battery charger for when the PV and hopefully soon to be wind generated power are not enough to keep up.We run 8 - 6volt Rolls batteries tied by Buss bars .They are temperature and voltage monitored on the PV board and by the inverter unit. The power is inverted by a Renogy 3000 .It also has a multi stage charger built it with flow through capability .These are almost all protected by Breakers purchased here .We have a remote shallow well system that we use a soft start unit on .It lessens the instant draw on the system .It is all about power management. This is a semi detailed , general description of some of the off grid power systems we use .

Exactly as described, sturdy, well-made
I needed this to secure unused TV cable on the outside of my home. Worked great for my needs.

A good enclosure
I used this on a new antenna mast for a ham radio antenna to house an inline coaxial lightning arrestor. I easily drilled holes in the box for the coax to come in and out, as well as mounting holes and a hole for the ground wire. I left room for potential future lightning arrestors in there as I add more antennas. The box is easy to work with, but since the cover is held on with proprietary plastic screws you need to be careful with those, and there is no rubber seal in the cover or the face where the cover mounts so I am unsure how waterproof it really is. To be safe I drilled two tiny holes in the bottom in case water flows along the coax an gets into the box, it will have a couple ways to get out.

A good sealed box for connections of electrical, network, or other approved connections
Good budget connection/junction box with weather sealing and pre-fixed mounting holes inside. The material is a good ABS plastic, thick enough to be stepped on but light as well. The four screws in the corners are on limit threads so they only unscrew half way, and then you have to pull the screw up for the top to come off. The screws are also keyed so they only go on one way to stay with the top.Good for protecting electrical circuit connections for outside decorations and junctions, though I haven't been able to fully test the weather durability yet until the snow hits. Still seems watertight and dustproof enough to use for weather but not for submersion in wet environments.

No rubber seal, not sure how waterproof it is. Time will tell
I used it for a solar project, and time will tell if it's the right box for the job.

wrong size!
we ordered this enclosure because it was advertised as 8" x 6".Just to be disappointed when we received it. It's just 7-3/4" x 5-3/4".
