Good piece of equipment
I think it’s a fine product for the price. I’m 5’8 and about 155lbs. I’ve been looking for a piece of equipment to help target my lower back as well as more options in my home gym setup. I compared a lot of hyperextension/ab benches before settling on this one, i’m satisfied I committed to Fitness Reality’s product. The construction took roughly an hour. Setup was easy. Hardware was well organized in step by step fashion via being in a cardboard and plastic package as opposed to a bag of nuts and bolts. Easy to follow instructions. The ONLY issue I had was sliding a t-bar into a slot. It seems there was too much rubber or glue around the slot. So I recommend having a knife or a file handy upon placement. After placing the bar kept getting stuck so I had to wear it down by having to reinsert the t-bar to wear down the glue. But after a few times it loosened up. The bench is mighty sturdy with just my body weight and I think it will hold up well when using plates for sit-ups and even decline dumbbell press. To gauge the height, On full decline my head hangs over the bench but doesn’t hit the floor with my settings. The pads are great quality. I like the matted feel giving you some grip. The adjustments aren’t overly complicated with the only exception being the t-bar where the knee pads go. You can’t see or what’s setting wince there are no calibrations or lines on it to know your personal setting. Luckily i’ll be the only one using it but if I had a guest then we’d spending time guesstimating to find our settinga possibly. It’s a very minor thing. The bench is a good weight. Not too light and not too heavy. Therefore it’s easy to move around with the assistance of wheels on one end (the legs at the head of the bench). I’m not a person too concerned over space but it is NOT foldable like a similar product on here. So again not a make or break for me but would have been convenient. So despite the minor issues, it’s more on the higher end between 4 and 5, so i’m going ahead and giving it a 5. Overall, like the simplicity, ease of use, versatility, quality, and structure of it. Hope you find this helpful.

Versatile home gym equipment, but not a decline bench
First of all a lot of the bad reviews for this product are from users who expected this to be a decline bench. Nowhere in the product description does this product claim to be one. The dimensions are listed and 36 inches long bench is clearly not meant for any type of dumbbell press exercises unless you are very short. After going to a commercial gym for more than 20 years, COVID-19 forced me to build a home gym. I've bought most of my equipment from REP Fitness, but needed a hyperextension/ab bench to add more exercises to my workouts. # Assembly Very easy. Took 15 minutes. Only 6 steps with very few pieces of hardware in each step. # Exercises ## Back hyperextensions Great for back extensions. Comparable to commercial products. Does not wobble. Cushion is soft enough. 14 different possible positions for the cushion. The only complaint I have is that the positions are not marked with numbers, but nothing prevents from coming up with DIY solution for that. ## Abs Solid. Does not wobble. Good decline. # Bonus exercises ## Reverse hyperextensions The cheapest quality reverse hyperextension machine you can buy costs about $350 + shipping. This bench obviously does not have the pendulum for weights, but you can always attach weights directly to your ankles with straps or use bands. Pulling the cushion to the highest positions and lifting the front legs on a bench provides an excellent range of motion for this exercise while still being sturdy. ## Calf raises The feet are nice and round, but not slippery. They are almost three inches high making them a great option for a calf raise platform. ## Preacher curl bench Setting the bench flat and putting the cushion at the highest position makes it possible to do supported bicep curls either with a barbell or dumbbells.

Great FID, multipurpose bench! Great Price!
The new, updated/upgraded version of this bench is great! Waaaay better than the previous version! I have no regrets about the purchase. Here are my pros and cons... PROS: Price, especially with all the features! The build quality, functionality and footprint are great. Handle on the front, wheels in the back make it easy to move. I like the bars on the bottom to store dumbbells. It has an adjustable headrest length. 20° decline is awesome. Leg rest and ankle cushions are easily adjustable. Fast delivery...I received it 2 days early. CONS: I wish there was a cap to cover the slot when the leg piece is removed (see pic). It's a little too lightweight and has the propensity to move. When the bench is in decline position and the seat is raised to its highest point, the bench is higher then the seat (see pic). The bench is narrow and could have easily been made wider (see pic)...I'm a medium sized guy and I certainly wish the bench was wider and didn't taper from the seat to the head (I think it should be the same width from top>bottom instead). In the full upright position (85°), the bench and seat cushions smash against each other and it makes it difficult to put it in that position. I will definitely not keep it in the 85° position when I'm not using that position otherwise it will create indentations. *A very minor grip is I wish the paint was red (like the logo in the bench). It's actually a orangish-red. Overall, it's a great bench and I would recommend it and/or repurchase it.

Very Good Quality for the Price and Good Quality!
I'm not a big DIY person. Personally, I would rather pay someone than assemble things myself. I was able to assemble the equipment a little under 2 hours (I'm not mechanically inclined). I usually end up messing up something or breaking something. So I'm pretty proud that I was able to put it together without much trouble. Instructions were easy to follow and everything was well labeled. No complaints here when it came to assembly. As for the equipment itself, it is very sturdy and heavy duty. It's not commercial type of equipment, but it is high quality. I would say the cushion for the legs and set are of better quality than your local GYM. The equipment does not wobble upon sitting on it so that is a good sign so far. I haven't tried using the equipment, but as soon as I do I will add an update to this review. Update: The equipment is very sturdy. It doesn't shift when I'm doing sit-ups. The biggest issue is that the bench itself isn't long enough for my entire back. I'm 5 feet 10 inches tall, about the smaller end of your average height. So when I lay of the bench only about 3/4 of my torso can lay on the bench. It's not perfect, but it will do. I have no complaints here. The equipment is sturdy and serves its purpose. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Very happy with the purchase
Got this bench shipped 2 days ago and just finished assembling it. Tried out a few orientations of the bench to ensure it's sturdy and ready for workouts. Packaging: Although the opened package looks a little scattered, each of the items were nicely packed and none were damaged. (see pic). Quality: The overall quality is very good. The bench is lightweight yet sturdy. The pads and seat are firm but comfortable. Perfect for bench exercises. The bench has wheels underneath one leg and can be moved with ease. Assembly: It took me (with no additional help), 45 mins from start to finish. I was very impressed with the precise instructions on the booklet. The hardware (nuts & bolts) were clearly marked with steps and numbers. Everything required for the assembly came with the packaging. No extra tools were needed. And yes, you can assemble it by yourself. For reference, I'm a 37, female, and not at all muscular. Dimensions: In case you're worried about space constraints, the finished product extends up to 64" (5.33 ft). It is not collapsible.

Nice Abdominal Workout Bench
The bench was easy to put together and is thick durable steel construction. It is actually better constructed than I was expecting. It is sturdy. It has no wobble when using it. It is tightly put together which speaks of the quality of the product not my ability to assemble it. I have a weight machine that I workout with which has held up for twenty years that is not as sturdy and well made as this bench. The cushioned pieces are well put together. Currently, I am 55 years old and weigh 225 lbs. I am using the bench for inclined sit-ups and reverse inclined sit-ups. I have the incline set to the second notch. It is very solid and supports my weight very well and I feel like I am getting a good workout. I am planning on getting dumbbells and extending my workout to using them in conjunction with the bench. I feel that it will be great for that also.

Nice Bench
Nice bench, easy to assemble. A little on the skinny side for bigger people but it still works.

Build quality is great. Also materials feel great and durable
Build quality is great. Also materials feel great and durable. It did come as a mess in the box, but building it was a breeze. Tools necessary to build are included in box. If you are a page by page turner like me, you may get confused when it shows you a large diagram where all the parts go without steps. ... Turn the page everything is going to be okay. Next pages have step by step procedures. Most small parts come already assembled which is nice, but are included in directions regardless. Reason for 3 stars is the connecting point of the bench to thigh rests. Bolt holes are too large not holding in the full upright position they should be. No risk of breaking, but now the thigh rests slope lower to the floor than they should. To fix this, I placed hard wedge to fill gap and hold at upright position. This looks ridiculous, and ultimately a defect. Regardless it seems to have fixed the issue and will just use as is.
