Initially, I really had a very difficult time figuring out how to switch the light on and off, and eventually had to receive help from the manufacturer to be able to use the lamp. One has to press and hold the little glowing circle on the switch for two seconds, and the light will switch on to the last brightness and colour temperature you left it on at. I just wish there was an actual physical switch or button which anyone could use the first time without any need for instructions. Otherwise, this lamp is put together quite nicely and offers some very great features like two built in USB ports and variable colour temperatures for the light output. Lamp will only output 1200 lux max, not stated in the product description. I contacted customer service and was given a sorry it doesn't meet your needs but you can't return it when it was well within the 30 day return window. Not recommended.Update: I have been in contact with Customer Support over the last few weeks and they have gone out of their way to provide support and make sure that I was satisfied with their products. After using the lamp for the last couple of weeks, I can report that the lamp does work well and is well made, allows a wide range of adjustments both in the light output and color temperature. The unit is very stable on my desk surface and when you adjust the head or arms of the lamp they stay where you put them. This is a nice lamp that can be used in a myriad of situations and perform well while doing so. The charging ports are a major plus.

I got this lamp as a gift for my boyfriend who paints miniature models. He needs an amazing light source to be able to do this at night so wanted the very best lamp I could afford. I took to reddit and found a group, asked for a recommendation, and am SO happy that I listened to the dude who recommended this.The different light settings are so useful for seeing the different colors and tones on his paintings, plus it makes the pictures awesome. I also have a hobby of creating iron-on vinyl decals and have used his light to see the very faint lines on the vinyl in order to prepare it for ironing. Whenever this becomes available again, I'll likely buy one for myself. This seriously is the best lamp I've ever used and definitely recommend it to anyone. Plus, the touch button to switch lighting modes makes it so simple to use... oh and USB ports are always appreciated! And from an environmental standpoint, this is a great choice for those who want an energy-efficient product without losing quality!

This is a very versatile, functional, and nice looking lamp. I really have only one complaint, and it is related to my particular use of it as a bedside night table lamp. The on-off "button" (touch point) is lit to make it easy to find in the dark. This is a nice feature, but the light from this button is a a bit brighter than I like for sleeping (I am pretty sensitive to light when sleeping). Of course this won't affect you at all if you employ the Eufy as a desk lamp. My own solution is to cover the button with my mobile phone, which always charges at night from one of the USB ports on the lamp base. I contacted Eufy's customer support about this issue as well, and they actually tested that the on-off touch point would still work if covered with black tape. I may try this at some point, but so far I'm happy enough with my cell phone trick. Overall I am very pleased with the lamp and with Eufy's customer support.

This lamp is great. I bought it for my wife for her nightstand to read in bed. The multiple color options and brightness settings really allow you to fine tune for every situation. For a person who has dimmers in every room this was paramount. It is great quality and the led's should last forever. The two smart usb chargers are also great. As a huge Anker fan I expected a great quality product and it was no exception.As the previous reviewer mentioned, I too didn't immediately know it was a press and hold button, but I figured it out after a few seconds. However, I really don't see this as a negative. It prevents accidental activation. Having three cats, I'm happy with this feature.My only regret is I wish I ordered a second one for me, I think about it every night when I click on my dumb, old, way too bright lamp :)

I've been using the lamp for about a week now. I truly love the color "temperatures" and the very easy to use brightness settings, and the USB charging ports on the back are a real space saver and incredibly convenient. The only small complaint that I have is that in order to turn the lamp on, you have to touch and hold the lighted button for a second or two. This isn't specified in any of the instructions, so if you expect it to turn on instantaneously when touched, you could possibly believe that you have a slightly defective item. Once it is turned on though, the touch pads are great and very responsive without being overly sensitive and switching colors just by simply brushing them. Overall, this is a fantastic bedside lamp, and I plan to purchase a second one for the other side of my bed, and one for my work desk.

This lamp is fantastic. I love the capacitive radial switch and brightness levels and the ability to adjust the color (it's very "white balancey") are just lovely. Only complaint is that its base isn't weighted enough and the hinges are too resistant so it's best to find a position you like it in and leave it there, because adjustments cause the entire lamp to move around on my desk. Perhaps this is will change with time and the hinges will become more compliant (but hopefully not loose!).
