I have to weigh hay for my metabolic horse and this scale works great! I just added a heavy duty carabiner and a hay bag so I can easily check his feed weight. It’s been life changing! If you also have to soak fee, if you’re using a poly slow feeder type bag you can dunk the hole thing in the tank of water after weighing, then hang the bag for your horse to eat from too!

We have been using this for about a month and it appears accurate and is of good quality for the price.

The scale is strong and accurate, however, you can't carry it everywhere on your trip because it is heavy and clumsy. The label attached to the screen showing the weight comes off easily. I will still use it because of most the other ones I purchased has a very light weight hanger which does not support the weight of the luggage very well. Be aware.

UPDATE #2 (2023-08-30): I've used the scale a whopping 3-4 times since my last update. It's stored without batteries in my basement at 70°F ~45% humidity. Went to go use it tonight, put batteries in it, and it refuses to read/display any weight! Changed batteries. Same thing. Pressed all the buttons. Same thing.Complete piece of crap. Supposedly has a 2-year warranty. Don't know if I'll even waste my time. JUNK JUNK JUNK.DO NOT BUY THIS! DO NOT BUY THIS! DO NOT BUY THIS! DO NOT BUY THIS! DO NOT BUY THIS!UPDATE (2022-03-25): The replacement scale I received worked properly and did not cause battery draw when powered off like the previous unit. Much happier!--(Original review with defective unit)When I received it last weekend, I put in the provided batteries and straight away took it downstairs to weigh some workout plates to see how accurate it was. Shockingly, it was well within 1-2% of every plate (5 up to 45 lbs) I weighed. I was impressed! The weight updates in real-time, the tare/zero works perfect, and changing measurement types is painless. Cool! So I turned it off and put it back in the box for an upcoming project I had at the office the following weekend.I get to the office the following Saturday, setup the scale, press the Power button and nothing! No backlit LED, screen didn't turn on. Dead. Worse, I didn't have a screwdriver with me to undo the battery compartment plate, so now I was really mad because of a wasted trip to work with a dead/defective scale.Once I got back home I took the batteries out and put in a fresh set of brand name batteries. Powered on immediately! What the heck....took a multimeter to the [old] batteries and found they were .202 VDC on all three batteries....after sitting in an unpowered scale for only seven days?!?As a test, I removed the brand new batteries and measured them-- all 1.556 VDC or abouts. I put them back in the scale, left the battery cover off, and ensured it wasn't powered on. I came back the next day and tested each battery:Day 2: 1.377 VDCDay 3: 1.151 VDCDay 4: 0.959 VDCYou get the point. Device is useless if it maintains a closed circuit under powered off conditions and drains the batteries. Submitted for refund and replacement. Hopefully it was just a one-off. I'll update the review when I receive and test the replacement device.

The screen is difficult to read at an angle. One must be directly in front of the screen in order to read the display. Accuracy seems to be ok. The plastic cover on the face of the scale came off the first time I used it. Now it will barely stay on long enough to figure out which buttons to push for zeroing and change from kg to lbs.

This thing is an absolute piece of crap. Put the batteries in it from New and I killed them within seconds put a new set in same thing. do not buy this thing. So I went and bought something else
