Easy at home granite repair.
Let me preface this review by stating that I am no DIY-er. However, I am a bit of a perfectionist so when I dropped a glass lid on the edge of our months old granite counter, I was incredibly annoyed by the resulting chip. I searched Amazon and Youtube. This kit seemed to be the easiest answer to my problem. The instructions were fairly easy and straight forward. All the listed pieces were included in my package. I taped off the area and applied the product. I used the plastic sheet and stick to smooth. I taped the plastic curing sheet down and hung the light from a bottle (see picture) as the curing time for my repair ended up being a couple hours. I then sanded down the area, buffed it, and polished it as detailed in the instructions. The results are pretty decent. The product is actually a darker shade of black (and currently shinier) than my Jet Black Caeserstone and of course lacks the color variance, but from a distance or without the overhead lights, even my eagle eye has difficulty spotting it. When directly looking at it though it is a much darker shade of black and shiner as previously mentioned. My husband finds it difficult to spot and guests cannot find it unless I point it out to them. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is not a lot of product for the price, but cheaper than hiring someone to fix it and it has given me some peace of mind.

Great results but this takes a lot longer than the instructions say
I ordered this kit to repair three small divots in our Ubatuba-colored kitchen countertops. Two were on top of the counter. One on the edge. The results with the black version were excellent. No sign of the holes. The instructions were clear but I gained valuable insight between the first repair and the third. In fact, I went back and re-did the fist repair. The blue light instructions says hold it a half-inch away for 3-5 minutes. I did 5 minutes. Then 3 minutes. Then 2 minutes (checking each time for stickiness) for a total of 10 minutes for each repair. Also, for the third repair and re-doing the first one I did not use masking tape. In my opinion, it was much easier with great results and no damage to the surrounding granite. I would recommend this product with the caveat that it is going to take about 20-minutes total for each repair.

I'm very pleased with the results
I used this product to fix a chip on a gray quartz countertop that was installed less than 6 months ago. The installer suggested that we demolish and reinstall the $4500 countertop. Can you believe that? I was sent the clear kit and it worked well on the gray. The first attempt didn't work because I filled the crack too much and when I sanded there was a lip. It popped out when I sanded. The second time I put less filling in and waited overnight to dry before sanding and buffing. The 1st picture is "before" and the 2nd is "after". It's very smooth and the 2nd picture makes it stand out more than it does in reality. I'm very pleased with the results.

I bought this one on the (wrong) theory that if you pay more you get a better product, but in this case I do not ...
It seems to work randomly. On some spots it hardened after about 10 mins. In others, not deeper, either took much, much longer or did not harden at all. I don't know if it's the product's problem or that the UV light supplied is not powerful enough. Also, for the price, the amount of material supply and just two 99 cent polishing cream is ridiculously stingy. Kind of rip off. There is very similar product for just half the price alsoavailable at Amazon. I bought this one on the (wrong) theory that if you pay more you get a better product, but in this case I do not think this to be the case.

The repairs are not perfect, but they are very
I was skeptical, for sure. My black, flecked granite has many chips of varying sizes around the sink, all in place when we purchased the house. My inquiries to stone/granite suppliers were fruitless, in the sense that I was advised to replace the granite throughout my kitchen. Before taking that very $$$ step, I decided to try this product. The repairs are not perfect, but they are very, very good...photos of one chip below to illustrate. The product does not include specific instructions for edge chips, only for surface damage. However, a quick check of Youtube for repair videos gave me the info I needed. If you have chips in BLACK, flecked granite, give this a try. Be patient with the UV light...I doubled the time suggested.

poor diy project
although a nice advertised product it is not black but a dark grey in color. this is not a diy project and should b e left to a professional. Although I have built models for many years and used all kinds of epoxy I do not recommend this for the handyman. Would probably work much better on a flat surface then an edge chip.

Expensive but Works Perfectly!
Expensive, but it actually works! I had better results on chips on the edges than on the surface simply because it’s harder to sand, polish, and buff the surface to match the shine of nearby areas. I think I sand the surface a little too hard as seen on the last picture. Nevertheless, the result is fantastic and much better than having the chips in the first place, and the color difference is hardly noticeable. I had two big chips on edges and three on the surface, and I hardly used 10% of the black compound tube. If you can pass the initial price, this package can fix a lot of countertop chips and blemishes for you. Thanks for reading.

Not for very small cracks
I did a lot of reading on how to properly use these epoxy kits. They may work well in some circumstances, such as a chip or gouge or wide crack, but it did not work at all on the very small crack in my granite countertop. I think that the epoxy is just too thick to get into a small crack. Even after pushing the epoxy into the crack with the small sticks provided, the end result was no change.
