Bar Fly Mud Fly Fender Rear (for MTB, Hardtail or Full Suspe

I usually don't write reviews, but felt I should write this one. I read all the reviews and felt that I could make this work.....how bad could it be right? My bike has very little clearance around the chainstays so I did have fitment issues. I cut the plastic to make it fit the contours of my wheel, but then I noticed that everywhere the plastic scraped against my paint, it left a mark. I was able to scrub some of the marks off with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel, but not all of the marks came out. I'm hesitant on using anything stronger. I decided not to use this and of course couldn't return it after I cut it up. Bottom line: If you have a matte finish, don't buy this fender. (unless your bike is black, you may not notice it then) It will mark up your paint. I didn't try it on a gloss finish bike, but I'm assuming it might be okay. Not sure how this plastic marks up paint, and I didn't take the reviews seriously, but it does and it's a pain to remove.

I was debating on using this fender due to possible scratch on my rear triangle. Anyway, I did tried this rear fender on my mountain bike this weekend and big regret on my part. After I installed I need to modify around the drive side because it’s rubbing on the chain so I trimmed. It work great at first but on the mountain biking trail, every time I jump or sending drops I can hear that the rear tire hitting the fender. After the ride I found scratches on my rear triangle.
