Works great with the new Pi 12 mp HQ Camera
I just received the CSI to HDMI Cable Extension Module and got it working with my new Pi 12 mp HQ Camera and the video quality is excellent.I made a mounting plate out of 1/8 inch thick polystyrene to the same size as the Pi 12 mp HQ Camera pwb (38 mm x 38 mm) and mounted it to the back of the Camera pwb with 6 mm standoffs and 2.5 mm x 10 mm hex cap screws. Before I attached the mounting plate to the Camera pwb I drilled a hole pattern that matched the camera Extension Module hole pattern and mounted the camera Extension Module to the mounting plate. Unfortunately the included CSI cable was too short to connect to the Camera CSI port so I substituted a 6 inch CSI cable which is a bit long, but works. I may purchase a 4 inch CSI cable in the future to take up some of the slack. In the future Arducam might want to include an optional mounting plate that matches the Pi 12 mp HQ Camera O&M and include 6 mm standoffs and hardware for the mounting plate. The Extension Module can then mounted to an appropriate hole pattern on the mounting plate.Update: I just bought a second CSI to HDMI Cable Extension Module and it works just as well as the first one!

Seamless
One of my biggest worries for my project at first was how do I make a camera connection that's user friendly? Lucky for me that question was already answered and it led me here. It's as easy as hooking up the camera (twice). I was also wondering if the camera could be plugged and unplugged while the Pi was running and I'm happy to report that it can. If you try to take a picture with it unplugged raspistill just errors out with no further issues, plug it back in and it works! My only issue is I haven't found a case for the camera/adapter combo yet. That's not a problem with this product itself though. I've found that this product works seamlessly, without errors or quality issues, like it's not even there.

Works well, easy install and setup.
Works well over all for my application. One thing I am trying to figure out is when paired with octoprint/octolapse it will not run in "usb" mode as is recommended for a pi-cam on octolapse. The pi-cam connected directly via the ribbon cable will, but these adapters wont.

Awesome for the pi camera distance problem!
This is awesome, and I wish I had them years ago. The Pi camera ribbon cable has a notorious problem of not working over distances greater than a foot or so. This take care of that problem! I am running two of these each on 12 foot long HDMI cables and the picture is great! Easy to install and highly recommend!

A must for long camera extensions via HDMI
These are amazing! Bought 3 different ribbon cables before realizing they won’t work in long applications. Wish I knew about this before

I got Bamboozled
These turned out to be too good to be true, but that's not the fault of these devices, it is mine. These things appear to be well made and probably work great for what they are intended to be used for, which is not what I needed. But I don't give one star reviews for my errors. Buy with confidence! Just know that converting from HDMI to CSI-2 requires some logic and whatnot. These merely adapt from a CSI interface to an HDMI socket. Maybe I'll run it on my RPI4 to see if I get output, but being lazy, this review is likely about as far as I'm going to take it. Good luck!

I thought it was an adapter... Lol
I bought it thinking it was an adapter for raspbersy pr cameras, but I might use it as an extender
