The best press type of primer pocket swager
While many people rightly praise the expensive Dillon primer pocket swager, there are plenty of people who would prefer a press-mounted option to take up less space, and this is the best there is in that category.I had bought the RCBS version that works okay, but the RCBS version requires a very delicate touch, and it uses a separate floating sleeve that rides below the top of the ram to dislodge the case from the bottom swager. On the other hand, this Lee system uses a spring-loaded system on the swager plug that automatically takes the case off of the plug. Also, the Lee system has a tapered spring-loaded sleeve in the die to guide the case mouth over the pilot rod inside the die. This makes it very easy, quick, and precise to run through cases to swage.I will probably either sell or give away the RCBS swager that I bought before realizing that the Lee solution is superior in every way.Only the best standalone swagers might be quicker and easier to use, but I believe that the Lee swager is more versatile, and I can't imagine those working materially better than the Lee swager.

Worked well
Only swager I've used, so can't compare it to other brands. Worked well and easy set up. No problems with primers seating while using my Dillon 550.

Great for range brass!
If you pickup or buy used, mixed headstamp brass this is a great, fast way to swage your primer pockets. I just swage all cases the 1st time I load them, makes the pockets uniform and that helps accuracy.

Good product
My only complaint on this is the shell holder mount. It is aluminum and after several hundred rounds the shell holder is starting to get hard to remove. Other than that it works great.

Great for military brass
I bought this die because my RCBS dies were struggling to decap military crimped 308 brass. The Lee die makes the task so much easier and I don’t have to worry about the pin feeling like it’s going to break every time I pull the handle.
