Makes creating custom cable very easy
These are much easier than soldering your own cables up. The wire gauge is fairly small but should be good for a couple of amps

Supply the Connection
I am building a custom head unit system for my car, and I needed a 5 volt power supply for the USB hub, so I got a 12v to 5v converter, but I needed a pigtail to jump from the converter to the hub. These pigtails are exactly what I need.

Product was not usable
The problem with this product is that the diameter of the female plug is a fraction too small to accept the male plug. I tried three different male plugs and none of them would not go in without a lot of force and then almost impossible to remove. I do not have this problem with the female plugs that I have been using

Excellent product with thick copper conductors
18 gauge wire handles higher current than many other connectors. Quality & delivery are excellent.

These are the ones to get
No instructions, but a little experimenting will get it done. Leave a little bit of shielding exposed and roll it over to get under the threads of the screw. Just a little bit of white inner insulation less than 1/4", and about 1/2" for the center conductor.

Less likely to short positive plug to a ring ground in a common ground enviroment during insertion.
I am using them for projects not cameras obviously. Easy to add to a pigtail. The wires are not rated for high current but fine for many things.

Nice cables but too short!
Cables are too short when received. Description said they were longer. Returned for refund.
